I remember watching a vid on youtube of a hacker watching people move about the map, then choose a victim, spawn in front about 200m away give himself a ghillie,AS50, and all the other gear he needed to which then he killed the player and teleported elsewhere to rinse and repeat on some other poor ba*tard. Then you have the other hackers who maybe just like to spawn an apache or 2 which happened to me, 2 of them moved about the map in concentric circles just looking to ruin people's day. I get my kicks out of helping people and working hard for my gear, that's not to say when I finally finished getting the gear to repair a little bird which then got stolen or just glitched away after one short flight that didn't royally piss me off but never once did I think 'oh maybe I should download a hack to insta spawn me a new one as I deserve it'. Everyone knows the risks of choppers and trying to hide them......the fun of owning one far outweighs that. So to answer your question, No I think hackers are lazy bored individuals who need to go find an interest that doesn't involve bullying other people and ruining the progress of a brilliant mod. What your friend did was different to the Hackers we're all used too but at the end of the day in the world of hacks there is only black or white, you're a hacker or your not. Sadly for whatever good intentions your friend was doing these vids he was hacking and that is unacceptable.

Splints are all you need, short term solution till you find morphine or whatever alternative rocket has in store. So chop some tree apart use your hunting knife and maybe some string then you have a nice comfy splint, obviously movement is affected to a slow hobble but that adds to the whole DayZ immersion.

I would if I could.......what I can do for you though is when you spawn again ill help you get what you lost then you can go on your way, how does that sound?

That's what I thought pokey, and its not like I can't get around the map in my heli, I'll rely on a trade hopefully, I'd deem going back to 1.7.4 as cheating to a degree! Much like trading for one but what the hell;0)

Walk into Cherno or elektro my friend, you will soon see how 'active' it is... if you want I could take you for an aerial tour of the map but I think for the first few days you need to experience what DAYZ is all about, how I miss the near death panic then the shear joy at finding that much needed Pepsi and can of beans! I find the NWAF a total waste of time these days, I just go for heli crash sites. The risk vs reward just isn't worth it! I'll take you heli crash hunting one day if you fancy it, you'll get much better gear :0) and its a lot easier spotting them from the air ;0)
