All melee weapons need to kill in 2-3 hits, otherwise they are pointless. No reason to ever not carry an axe. Machete, Crowbar, Bayonet, Knife, Pipewrench, Baseball bat, all need to be like this

Axe, Rifle, Ammunition. If you have those, everything else is easy.

Seems almost nobody has seen one on a crashed Mi-8 yet anyway from what I have read, the Mi-8's spawn half in the ground and with civilian clothes loot on them most the time. Going on that picture up there, the texture is seriously ugly :( specially considering how high quality the rest of the textures are in the game.

Ah thanks lazytek, pretty dire then. I don't think putting new stuff in the game, but it not spawning really counts dayz devs :P

Yes, there is no semi-auto mosin. But if you take a 7.62x54R to the face it doesn't matter what you are wearing.

Hardly matters stopping a bullet, will always be more than one coming your direction, FashionZ is far more important than looking like a goofball.

It's just part of the game guys, if there wasn't KOS there would be no tension. It's what makes it fun, you don't know what people are going to do.

Nothing of use just a few food and drinks, they copy and pasted it over there but didn't add any army spawns.

Been playing in experimental for the week, never even seen the static Heli's spawn anything, but youtube says it does. So perhaps??? I'd like to know too really.

Extendable baton can be thrown into the bin along with 90% of the other melee weapons, 14 hits or so to down a Zombie. Why do they bother.

Sometimes with the way the Zombies are in the game, I wish they had poured all their effort into making 'Wasteland Standalone' instead. If the zombies were plentiful and fun then sure i'd rather DayZ but currently...?

Haven't seen any spawning in the latest build, they were not too crazy to find before.

Hope it also means we get an old Soviet steel helmet at some point, still common in Russia in second line troops and an almost certainty in ex-soviet states with 2nd line equipment. Helmet covers for the modern helmets too please!

AK's are spawning everywhere now, in any military spawn too.

Yea that is very unfortunate, wouldn't mind if they chucked all that stuff, I mean we see the houses and incredibly backwards cities far more than we ever see M4 parts.

Wish they would define the year, don't think the DayZ team ever really thought about it. Their is nothing but huge CRT TV's and not a single laptop to be seen. Make it 90's.

Longhorn also only has one shot that you have to manually reload. Cut down Mosin would be cool just to have a multiple shot, full powered rifle cartridge handgun. Plus it looks cool, and would involve less work to implement than building a new gun from scratch.

If i was wanting to study medicine this would definitely be the way to get my attention. Mmm hm.

Never seen it or the Makarov, nor ammo for them. Don't think they are actually in stable.
