  3. I gave you beans simply cause you have stepped up; and Enforcer probably confused you with the OP Anyways, good ridance, that's why the Alt (and evend 3rd person view) is there, so the dots are useless for Dayz (not for Arma though).
  4. and again, what's the point of permadeath if you can get your stuff back after death, without anyone else being able to find it? When you die, the whole point od dayz is that you start anew; so how does your new character remember where the previous character hid all hist superduper stuff? And no, I don't believe in being reborn and all the other mumbojumbo

The point is, you will still have tents - if you want stuff for keeps in the afterlife, you put em in a tent, and you risk the stuff being found by other players If you bury stuff, it's short term, eg when you go looting you leave some stuff at the edge of the forest for whatever reason (you make place for loot, you leave your M107 behind so you don't looks so hostile, whatever). If it remains afetr death, it basically defeats the purpose of permadeath as nobody will find it; and nobody will use tents anymore

  11. no no no no burying stuff is good, great even, but it should degrade after 1-2 days, and disapear completely once you die. could be used for looting, before you enter a town you drop some stuff, than come back to get it
  12. Having names in unfamiliar language is part of the fun; Having some kind of a babelfish in a simulator...is not.
  13. I would think that inventory works regardless of the amount of players, animations as well; from what rocket wrote on reddit, it seems the issues are: So these could be sorted in 3-6 weeks? I don't really care if we initially have 15 or 30 weapons etc, those will get into the game in time...

  15. you are correct - but there is a catch; the longer it takes to release SA, the more new features we will expect to already be added, I just hope they won't try to include "everything" before they actually release SA for alpha testing My F5 doesn't work since the last update, so I'm not playing that game anymore, will simply check the forums tomorrow ;)
  16. well, if it was life or death, you would simply dig through the backpack quickly to get the item you need out, you wouldn't bother with taking everything in&out... rocket said multiple times his inventory would be like original xcom, so more something like this?

I wasn't really criticizing you, I think the topic was multiple characters with the same key or something like that, cannot really recall, so no need for apology If there were two or max three server settings, multiple chars could work, while if there were more than that I think we should stick with one character

  19. If you replicate that "smokers cough" after a while, or some dizziness the first time your character it would be good And alcohol should be in for purely medicinal reasons (i repeat myself here)

  22. I think that this was suggested before, the general consensus was to have one character for ALL Mercenary servers, and another for all Veteran servers, etc... The main question is if these server descriptions will still be in SA (no CH, 3rd person different, etc) - will there actually be diffeent setting servers for SA from the beginning?
