Not 30k, 100k:BIS will run some servers through a hosting provider who will also run some. I think we will be able to handle 50-100k concurrents (this is from memory, i can't be sure of the exact numbers). http://www.reddit.co...co_give/cda0ahh So it seems arrangements are made, but it will stil take a while to setup all the servers, me thinks... So from the point you see 50+ players on test server - add a week, than it may release.

you guys are extremely optimistic (this Tuesday, Wednesday, etc...) IMO it will take at least a week after all the bugs are sorted for actual release - or until we will be able to play anyways - how long does it take to setup 1k servers? So we are like addicts who know they got not money for their fix, but hope anyways :blush: here, to improve the mood:

Please make up your mind, cause these two comments IMO are directly opposite to each other; either all items inside clothing will take damage (as you put it "as a deterrent to shoot on sight") or they will take damage based on where you are shot... I really hope it is the latter. -

As said, i hop it will not be exagerated like in the vid (i know, work in progress, showcase, etc), but one bullet should not destroy each and every item in your shirt. Also, in the vid rocket says damadged boots will hurt your feet - but the damage should still be less than if you walked around bare-foot... -

I rally really hope they will not exagerate wit all this wear and tear, as it seems now, if you get hit by Z or Human - go get a whole new inventory cause it will be useless... -

Well, if they only rob you, and given that ppl will have restricted carry space, it is unlikely they will take ALL your loot, so you will lose some better items, but also keep others; so you will still be better off than respawning; if the smash your head in afterwars, well, that is dayz ;) Nice and unexpected devblog... -

ermmm, no, sorry, this will definitely not stop the KOS mentality, don't expect anyone to see an armed survivor and say to himself, "hmm, he might have a skill that I may need some time in the future, so I will not preemptively kill him although he might kill me" Dutch nailed it: IMO why people would band up is not some skill that might come handy in the long run, but because of immediate necessity - like there are 50 zeds around, 4 hands are better than 2, and I only have 10 rounds left. So perks, levels, whatever, would be in the game only because ppl want them, and therefore IMO should not limit the game for a loner -

In one of the vids you can see a headtorch, so yes, there are multiple head pieces It is really anoying to see that purification tabs take up the same space as a canteen, and have one use only?! they have a lot of balancing left to do... -

Well, I really hope there will be negative sides to using gear as well; I mean, motorcycle helmet is probably really great for melee, but should also make you tired sooner, give limited field of vision etc... But it is great to see the game move along -

Hate to say it, but don't expect SA to be any different, after you've figured them out they will not be a substantial threat either, unless in numbers... But that's how it should be, really, their brains don't function anymore, they are z.. infected?! -

It is actually quite easy once you know the "tricks"; others would call it farming tho ;) the problem is, you either wander around for 18 days, or you use the trick, just like most other people; gets kinda lame (and now a bunch of people will start saying how they don't do it) -

This IMO is the general way of approach, but I would make it time limited (and the same for looting your own body). When you die, you cannot access your own body and tent(s) for 12 hours. all others can access them normally. If you are lucky enough that they are still there and contain stuff after 12h you may loot again. Just to make things complicated and "realistic" :P -

ship looks awesome, it should be permanent though; what's the point of such a great object if it is rarely there? I already saw the pax twice, don't feel like going through everything again to spot the new info; well, who knows, in the following dayz mabe... -
Vz something scorpion is "the authentic" gun for the east europe+balkans In Yugoslavia mp5 is way more common than uzi That said, Imo all should be in the game, with law spawn rates, just so the characters would be even more unique, to hell with authenticity ;)

Well, I hope a time-limited Lite option will be out for Dayz SA Alpha; like arma3 Lite (what obviously you should have waited for) In the end, just like with everything else in life, you will have to consider pros and cons before purchase, once you put your $ in, there is no point in complaining
