  1. Greetings fellow survivors.

Here is a map with the important things we added to this server!

    Chernarusmarked_zps46cf6841.jpg

The red pentagons are the bases.

The one near Chern is FOB Revolver

The one in the north east is FARP Winchester

The one in the west is OP Pustoshka

The bases serve mainly as drop-off point's for the MEDEVAC helicopter.

If you need a MEDEVAC you should simply report your gridloc in the 'side channel' and have a green smoke ready.

When the MEDEVAC is close, pop the green smoke in an open area to pinpoint extraction point. When the MEDEVAC is close enough you have to enter it ASAP

When on board report wich base you want to be evacuated to.

The blue star is the 'Survivors market'

The 'Survivors market' is a trade station where one can barter for usefull items. The currator there will trade with most anything you can find in Chernarus. Be ready to haggle!

It also serves as the point where you can trade your hedgehogs or sandbags for unlootable items or clothing. (economy not yet specified)

    Best regards Odin of Valhalla

  2. We have a newly started survival server.

Not that populated yet but thou!

We use rMod but basically the server is vanilla Chern

We are trying to set a specific mood on the server. Picture normal DayZ but with an army presence in the area. Not that that does the survivors much good thou. They can request medevacs which means they get a pickup by a unarmed Blackhawck with medevac markings, they will then be transported to one of tree places. (you will need a green smoke for this)

Other then that we have build a survivors marked where survivors can barter.

Also we will be trying to implement an economy with sandbags and hedgehogs. We haven't figured everything out yet but for instance we are thinking about selling special player models for something like 10 sandbags or a vehicle shelter for 10 hedgehogs.

We also aim to make a couple of events every week where there will be a chance for some special loot or vehicles.

We will try to balance this as much as possible so the mood of DayZ doesn't get ruined.

    Se server details below!

Hope to see you there some time :)

    Best regards Odin

  3. I wanted to add instructions to installing rMod client side.

First of, download rMod here: http://www.mediafire...idr7hprerq1qa75

unpack the .rar file and copy the @rMod folder into the root of Arma2 OA (you know where you placed the @DayZ folder)

If you use Steam to launch DayZ go to the "Games libary" and right click ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead and select properties.

Click on "set lauch option" and see what it says there.

Depending on how much you've tampered here in thould at least say:

    -mod=@dayz

You will need to add ;@rMod there so it looks like this:

    -mod=@dayz;@rMod

    Or

If you use Dayzcommander click settings in the top right hand corner.

Find the "Additional Launch Parameters" field.

Depending on how much you've tampered here in thould at least say:

    -mod=@dayz

You will need to add ;@rMod there so it looks like this:

    -mod=@dayz;@rMod

There you go, done installing rMod, shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.

You wont need to change anything if you want to play a "normal" server so don't worry about that :)

  4. Greetings survivors.

Lo there do I see my father, Lo there do I see my mother, my Sisters and my brothers, Lo there do I see the line of my people, back to the beginning. Lo, they do call me, they bid me take my place among them, in the halls of Valhalla, where the brave may live forever!

Valhalla (Scandinavian Private rMod Hive) is up and running.

    What do we offer?

Basically the server is a vanilla Chern server, we aim to sustain the atmosphere of DayZ but with some exciting elements.

Scandinavians might be tempted to join, being that we intend to focus on Scandinavian players (languages on the server are English and Danish).

In a near future, we aim to make at least one weekly event, preferably two or three! This will be a chance to score some epic loot and/or special vehicles. (rMod is installed on the server, which gives us a high variety of weapons and vehicles)

In the not as near, but still near, future we will be trying to establish an economy on the server, meaning that players will be able to buy small structures, such as vehicle-shelters and other items.

We also perhaps plan to make a refugee camp, as well as more small FOB’s here and there, that might have been overrun by the infected!

In addition, we already have FOB Revolver! FOB Revolver is an admin camp with a "dustbowl" which is a "safe zone" where players can trade and otherwise socialize in somewhat peace! In addition, it will be a medevac drop-off point. We also have OP Pustoshka and FARP Winchester. Both have "dustbowls" to serve as medevac drop-off points.

Medevacs can be requested when admin’s are online. But only if you have a green smoke grenade to pinpoint your pickup! (the medevac vehicle is an unarmed Blackhawk, with medevac markings)

With this we are trying to create the atmosphere of Dayz but with the army present in the area.

Admins take the role of army personel, ie. pilots, Delta Force, USMC, whatever we need to set the mood.

Naturally, we use BattlEye and Gotcha on the server!

    Our rules are as follows:

#1 - Behave yourself, moderate your language and do not harass others!

#2 - Do not whine! You might die a couple of times and it will be annoying, but that is it. There is no need to cry about it!

#3 - No "voice" in "side channel"

#4 - The "Dustbowl" at FOB Revolver is a no firing zone, don’t shoot into, out off or inside the "Dustbowl"

#5 - Do not enter the main part of FOB Revolver, and do not steal admin vehicles, they are mainly there for atmosphere and dramatics.

#6 – FOB Revolver and the valley surrounding it is a no flight zone! If you fly there, you will be shot down!

    Difficulty - Veteran

    3rd person - ON

    Cross-hair - OFF

    Death message - ON

    Nameplates – OFF

    Timezone – GMT -6

Best regards the admin team of Valhalla.
