The servers have to be running the same beta version that you have installed. I don't have the SixUpdater installed as I use DayZ Commander just for a server browser, but if they have a filter option just type in what version you are running to filter out ones you don't have. Like this:

It says the same thing for me also so I just ignore it. Now open up each one, ArmA 2 and ArmA 2: OA separately to the main menu through Steam to make sure your keys register. After that is done install the beta. Once that gets done installing browse to the ArmA 2:OA install folder and click on the file :"Launch Arma2 OA Beta Patch.exe" and you should be good to go.

Did verify the integrity of the files before you ran each one separately? You have to do that before installing the beta patch.

Once you download the patch just unzip it then click on the .exe file it produces then the install process will start.

Just so you know your supposed to change both the ArmA 2 and ArmaA 2: OA config files.

Try logging in without 666 updater and see what it says.

I'm not trying to defend those guys but in the video your ping is at 9999 and admins are allowed to kick for that reason.

Did you purchase another game key? You cannot both play off the same game key at the same time and another one will need to be purchased. Even then game keys are not supported by BiS. So it's just better to purchase the game outright. Did you buy your ArmA2 key from a CD Key reseller?

It's doubtful it will come to console as a stand alone. As the vision expressed cannot be done on consoles at least as of now and it's probably going to be at least 20 years or more at the pace of console hardware development, just like it has been going on for the past 20 before now before it will be considered. PC vastly outpaces console development in the hardware department because consoles are developed to last for 6+ years with the same hardware, where in the PC world it seems like new hardware comes out every day.....lol The requirements for an MMO just can't be done on consoles because there is just too much going on and too much processing power is needed. You think if Blizzard was able to put WoW on consoles they would have been waiting out for this long?

Yeah, you'll be fine because it does not integrate with the main game.

Try doing an integrity check of the games. If you already have installed a beta go to the main ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead folder, then into Expansion and delete the Beta folder. Also delete the 2 files called "Launch Arma2 OA Beta Patch" and "Uninstall Arma2 OA Beta Patch" in the ArmA 2 Operation Arrowhead main folder.

Make sure you run each game once, ArmA 2 and ArmA 2: AO from inside Steam before you update. Then register for an account HERE at BiS, then you can download the betas from HERE. ETA: Make sure you have Auto-Update disabled in Steam for both of them also

Just goto BiS forums and register for a account then you will be able to get it with no problems for now on. FORUMS

I have this same problem and it's driving me mad with no end in sight. Uninstalled and reinstalled everything multiple times. Can't get on any MP servers with the beta patches because no one seems to want to update and none seem backwards compatible either. Keep verifying the files through Steam and it continually wants to update 1 file over and over. Checked Steam and BiS forums and the only advice from Dwarden is to update to beta patches, that doesn't do any good when server host don't do it.....lol. Even tried deleting the @DayZ folder also to no avail. Hope someone has an answer for this.

Um no your wrong. I've been playing ArmA for awhile now and I have seen it many times. High pings drag everybody down and can cause the server to crash.

This isn't Cry2, Battle Field nor CoD. Those games do not have the amount of things going on in a large environment such as ArmA has. Too much stuff it going on for the rest of the server to have to keep up with your high ping. You will literally be a slide show to other players.

Will be buying both ArmA 3 and stand alone DayZ if not a DLC addon.

Server admins are in control of the draw distance, so setting them in the video options is moot for online play.

That's most of the big ones. Try cleaning up with CCleaner and defraging also. ArmA pulls a lot from your hard drive while playing. You can also try using GameBooster to shut down un-needed services and programs. As na8200 suggested, try some of your settings set to high as setting some of them on low will hand duties off to your CPU instead of the GPU.
