Friendly bump to the top... We know Namalsk servers aren't getting anywhere near the numbers across the board as it used to. I checked DayZCommander for global stats and this confirms it; however if you're pretty new to the game and you've only ever played on Cherno or Taviana, then try this; it's a lot harder. -
Best places or maps for guns and loot. Also any tips for finding guns and loot?

Just did a quick count on DayZCommander for Namalsk: 155 total servers 0.74: 113 total 0.741: 12 total Other versions: 30 total. Checked out that bug on crossing Tara bridge on 0.741... >ejected into sky then splat.

Release [v0.741] Client-side Changed: Needed files were updated for DayZMod 1.7.6.1 Changed: G36K -> G36K_camo and G36a -> G36A_camo in loot tables to support multiple sights feature, which are only available in OA variants (*_camo), thanks to Dr.Zed for this suggestion! Changed: Minor changes / additions to the loot tables of Namalsk to reflect DayZMod's changes (Added machete, changed crossbow, added new types of food, trash, FoodMRE & FoodNutmix to some military loot tables (rare occurence)) Fixed: Loot table loading, no-sniper or no-er7 schemes should once again work now Server-side Changed: BE filters to counter spam/kicks (scripts.txt), created by newest changes in DayZMod & DayZ Namalsk Changed: Updated dayz_server.pbo and its files for DayZMod 1.7.6.1 -

[uPDATED] Release [v0.74] Namalsk 1.7.5.1 Hardcore. Filter IOGC in DayZ Commander or use 188.138.122.37:2303 No 3rd person. (Switch off headbob ffs) :) No crosshairs. No tags. No death messages. EVR and Stalkers are active. GMT-6 Standard loadout/vehicles with a few tweaks (Railgun is out). Dedicated hardware with robust anti-cheat protection: BEC and Ant-HAx. Active Admins. Live stats that show your humanity: http://iogc.co.uk/stats/namalsk/ (if you die your stats get wiped). Any issues like lost gear, suspected scripters etc, then posting on our forums you will get a quick response. There are extremely few servers who opt for this mode - only the toughest or most deranged survive. We are currently getting 10-20 players consistently in the evenings UK time, which is just about right for this map. Our connection is solid and we often have players from North America, Western and Eastern Europe. . We've been hosting games for 6 years now, with a focus on military sims (not exclusively - we play anything good) with Arma being at the forefront. We have our own TS server, website and active forums at www.iogc.co.uk. We'd happy to have you onboard if you like the look of us - always looking for non-idiot mature new members to play on Namalsk. We age from 18 to 57. -

Move the whole Addons folder (in the Arma 2 folder) over to Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead main folder. Normal DayZ and other maps will run just fine. -

Yup -- got killed there too.......Really enjoyed playing this - very well put together map, up there with Namalsk I'd say (the little towns and villages feel just right)- so props to the author of it. Was playing on 1.7.5.1 and it worked prefectly for me with no problems finding loot. The developer of this map for DayZ hasn't included any post apocalypse wreckage like burnt out cars etc (yet i suppose) - but 10/10 for him bringing this to our attention. If I had to describe it: it's a smaller Cherno - European rural and very pretty to boot. Lots of islands (didn't find any boats). Be very good for PVP and being a survivor as there's loads of places you could make a camp - especially in the North where there's hardly anything but woods and hills. Hope this takes off. :)
