Well, you wouldn't be wrong.
-
No, because even if it didn't affect hunger, you'd still be punishing the casual player. If you get sick late at night and have school or work the next morning, and you're busy for a long time, then that's just going to reward people who play constantly. Maybe a solution is to make it so medicine doesn't take effect instantly, and maybe not on the first try, so you will have to spend SOME time sick.
-
Sorry, I guess I was being a bit ambiguous, that wasn't directed towards you.
-
Or arranging corpses to ward off intruders... The possibilities are endless.
-
Does this include dragging dead bodies? I'd much rather have that over the 'Hide Body' function, it's pretty silly...

"Herde" is still not a word. Herd is. I don't usually become a grammar-Nazi, but when you type the word with the wrong context, in the wrong way, 8 times, I just can't help it. I wasn't going to say anything, but you spelled it wrong in a reply to a post containing the correct spellings of both words, in big, bold text. That's probably the reason you didn't find anything when you searched "Herde".

Don't really see why you needed someone to make a detailed post regarding why the update wasn't out yet, it seems fairly obvious that they haven't released the next update because it's not ready to be released.

Double Post, whoops.

Hopefully we'll get to put guns on any vehicle when the vehicle customization Rocket has discussed is implemented, to compliment armed military vehicles. And what I really, really want: Shooting out of vehicles. It already exists in ArmA II mods, so I'm sure it could be done.

Different quality vehicles and weapons?
Clumzy (DayZ) replied to Panzer VI's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Well, there will be weapon degradation in the Standalone, so I'd think it's entirely possible for some weapons to spawn at a different quality. As for vehicles, don't we already have that? I mean, most vehicles are missing parts when you find them, but if you're lucky, you'll find a driveable or even completely repaired one. And speaking of a bolt jamming animation, I sure do hope that there are bolting animations for rifles. -
Could we also have less blood? The amount of bullets you can take in this is pretty silly.

Disabling the Humanity System - Serverside Option
Clumzy (DayZ) posted a topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I think there are quite a few people that would agree that the humanity system doesn't fit quite right in DayZ. In a cruel, unforgiving world where nothing is supposed to be certain, you can judge a player by clothing that they didn't even choose to wear. It's something I find really unrealistic and out of line with the rest of the game. It also creates a lot of unfairness for "bandits". I see all these people that like to announce that they kill all bandits on sight. I would think that there is a large number of bandits that have only become bandits through self defense, and then the skin often stays on a player through multiple lives. PvP is a legitimate playstyle that is necessary if not fundamental to the DayZ experience, whether you think there's too much of it or not. We shouldn't punish these people for it in such unrealistic ways. Of course, there are a lot of people that appreciate the humanity system, and they have their reasons, too. In all but a few cases, killing people will change someone mentally. Furthermore, I'm sure that a lot of bandits in a real-life situation would want to hide their identities by concealing their faces. So, maybe there's a middle ground. My suggestion is to allow a server admin to enable or disable the humanity system on a server at will. If it was off, there would be no bandit or hero skins, and no bonuses from humanity. In the standalone, if there is still a humanity system, then whatever it is would be removed from the server as well. No change in stance, or blood stains on clothing, or whatever form it will take. So, discuss this idea and your own in the comments, or your opinions on the humanity system in general. Thanks for reading. -
I like it.

The Possibility of an Editor in Standalone?

I don't like the idea of players being able to practice with weapons and vehicles without any risk to their character. -

That's also true, forgot to put it in the OP. Good point. -
Disabling the Humanity System - Serverside Option
Clumzy (DayZ) replied to Clumzy (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Well, your first mistake is assuming that I am a bandit. I almost exclusively help people when I play DayZ. Second of all, I'm not arguing about what people would do in a total breakdown of infrastructure and society, I'm just offering my thoughts on the results of this phenomenon in DayZ. Thirdly, I know WHY the humanity system is in place, to show a players intentions. But I think that a lot of playerd don't like that idea and feel that it doesn't fit in DayZ, because we're going for authenticity, aren't we? And finally, I'm not saying the humanity system should be removed entirely. I'm suggesting the ability for one individual server to disable it if they so choose. -
I do like the arguments with statistics of similar countries and firearms. If we could strive to emulate that, I'm sure it would be, at the least, a refreshing change from the DayZ mod (especially if you consider the types of guns available and not just numbers).

:'( i hate u But in all seriousness, I think that this should go for all major skills. For example, properly treating an injury in a zombie apocalypse should be quite difficult, and that should be modeled ingame. Medical treatment should require at least a little bit of real world knowledge and you should get no hints or tips. I feel like this would make everyone value another person's skills more and give an alternative to just KOS'ing. Beans to you.

[MOD] Bandit and Hero-Camo differing from SurvivorCamo
Clumzy (DayZ) replied to bca quattro's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Seems kind of strange to me, the same clothing would look different on different people? I'd much rather the humanity system be done away with completely. -
[MOD] Bandit and Hero-Camo differing from SurvivorCamo
Clumzy (DayZ) replied to bca quattro's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I don't think clothing is going to work like this in the standalone, maybe this suggestion should just be about the mod. And furthermore, I think this idea is kind of weird. If you were wearing camo clothing and were a bandit, and you decided to trade clothes with somebody, would they be putting on different clothing? Would it be the same and make them look like a bandit? Would only bandits be able to put on bandit camo clothing? And being someone who doesn't like the humanity system, I think that camo and ghillies should look the same on everyone because then there's that tension of not knowing, that makes the game so much better. -
Would 100 jerry cans worth of fuel be taken before every restart, though? like death dealer said, maybe it can hold up to 100 jerry cans, but usually only has a few.

[SA & Mod] - British Weapons & Gear
Clumzy (DayZ) replied to Draco122's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I'm gonna agree with this, I'd rather the standalone have nothing to do with the ArmA II story that took place before it so that we would see mainly russian and civilian weapons. -
I agree that there should definitely be more civilian weapons in the standalone.

Oh, I've got one: Zeroing takes actual times, and moves the crosshair. That way you can't sight a target, quickly tap PgUp a few times and kill him in a matter of seconds. Yes. I want to do this in the Standalone. (skip to 0:30)

Sounds good to me.
