Well, there's also the Action Menu, aiming as well as holding breath, PgUp and PgDn for zeroing, Map, Nightvision, Binoculars, Vault, Walking, Lowering weapon, Leaning (A way of communicating friendliness for a lot of people), Switching Fire Modes, Opening Gear, Freelook, and a few others that aren't as necessary and would probably have to be removed. If you can get everything important on a controller though, fine by me. I'd still choose a keyboard and mouse.

For anyone who feels that there is no endgame content, here is a challenge for you: Pick a town, you'll probably want to pick a small one. Go in, clear it out. This will need to be done regularly though (hopefully clearing out an area will be easier in the SA) then, with some people that you trust, start advertising your town on side chat as a safe haven for survivors. See if you can get it to work. You're not limited by the game, you're limited by your own creativity. -
Will we be able to switch weapons while moving? Please, please say yes

People complain about the lack of endgame when they don't realize that they can create their own. You'd be surprised by the things you can do in DayZ besides killing and looting. For the last month or two, I've been looting Elektro in my preferred server, setting up tents in the church, filling them with all the loot I find and giving it away to anyone who trusts me enough to come by. I advertise my charity on side chat. That's my endgame at the moment. I met a watch salesman on the same server, while I was looting for the church. He sold me a 'quality timepiece' for a can of mountain dew. I also spoke to someone who was supposedly selling weapons and items near Kamenka, but I never actually saw or met him. It's a sandbox game. While it's not the norm, you can create your own goals, even in the mod. You just have to think outside the box. -

I play on a 1st person only server, kinda forgot about that. Well the ACE mod for A2 still puts an overlay if 3rd person if you're wearing a gas mask, I'd say the same should be done for DayZ. -

The 'everybody starts out the same' concept is nice, but really inaccurate. I mean, that simply wouldn't be the situation in anything. -

Yup, head wear should definitely block some of your view. Even the baseball cap we all wear now, you should be able to see the bill(?) at the top of your screen. -

Sounds like a good addition to the crafting system. -
The thing is that Rocket is putting all this work into what sounds like a great communications system for the Standalone, but I feel like nobody is even going to use it.

I like it. I think BF2:PR does this sort of thing, and another game or two that I've seen will probably be adding it and it really improves the game.

I like a lot of these suggestions because they make they game both more difficult and more brutal. But unfortunately I don't think many of them will happen. Third person has been in the mod far too long, people have become attached to it. It would have needed to be removed right at the beginning, but I think it's too late now.

I never really understood why dragging bodies and the fireman carry weren't in DayZ from the beginning. Much less silly than the 'hide body' that just leaves you laughing while a corpse phases into the ground. Maybe burning could be a way to dispose of a lot of bodies? -
Shadows do affect gameplay quite a bit, I'd at least like to see them being a server-side option to have them forced. At least on at a low setting.

I don't really see why people are upset about it going to consoles, I mean it's not going to affect your game experience on PC, is it?

A big problem is the amount of buttons needed for such a game. A lot.

It's a shame there isn't a way to get people to use the VOIP. Maybe teamspeak integration like the ACRE mod has would help. I don't know about most people, but my microphone has a switch so I can turn it off if I really need to, but I also can't talk on skype while it's off.

Wind should definitely play a part in bullet trajectory if added.

Maybe an ability to push players, the player that was pushed would have to maybe tap the movement keys quickly enough to not fall over or something. which keys need to be tapped and how quick the reaction would have to be would depend on which direction the player was pushed from, and how close the pusher was (eg tap s and w a few times within half a second if pushed from front, a and d keys within a quarter of a second if pushed from the right side). I don't know, maybe something along the lines of that.
