MERGED: Everything poop and pee
Kneesocks replied to grandpa_smuckers's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I understand the want for an immersive experience, but this really seems stupid to me. It's artificial. What do you get from doing this? It's just a boring half minute break from gameplay. Adding this to the game will not increase the level of fun, but rather the level of tedium. -
I'd say bandits should have the same skin as survivors. Not only is it harder to have the skin technically, but having bandits look like everyone else makes the decision of engaging someone or allowing them in your group even harder. It really gets you thinking if you can trust someone, and I think that's a great part of the game.

People Are Food Too: A Case for Cannibalism!
Kneesocks replied to Goose Springsteen's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I can support this idea. It's totally valid. I'd also throw in this thread, just as a basic suggestion, the inclusion of wild edibles that may or may not be poisonous. -

To bring it back around to the repercussions for random killing, there really shouldn't be any. There are already natural repercussions to that anyway - you get labeled a murderer, and then you cannot be trusted by other people in the community. It's pretty much that simple. The game is practically designed to be a human experiment. What makes this game great is that it's not like other zombie survival games where humans are all friendly and nice with each other. It's an authentic scenario - some people will kill others for their own gain. It makes the game much more dynamic and gritty, adding heavy atmosphere and suspense.

Food and water being used offline
Kneesocks replied to Jeff (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
The idea of slowly becoming dehydrated or starved while offline is a silly one. You practically feel punished for leaving the game because of the sudden stress of having to find water before you die. Personally, I'd go further than recommending that water and food be consumed automatically - I say hunger and hydration should not change at all when you're offline
