  1. You can run back, try running south east. It's a long run from what I hear, anything between 5 and 20 minutes.
  2. I noticed zombies can be a bit more random now, you can't be safe outside a given range from the zombie, dwell too long and eventually they might see or hear you. But the good news are, I found it a LOT easier to run and hide from them. Just don't let them get too close, run into a forest or building, and voila, half of them won't know where you went.
  3. Working as a assistant researcher with gender research, I agree that gender issues are often left out of popular culture. I also agree, just as the majority of current research, that sexual identity is a complicated non-binary issue rather than the classic "man/woman". With that said, it is important to note that the original post IS RIDICULOUS. You are effectively making a joke of an important matter by suggesting DayZ is part of the problem. Get real. It is a game about zombies, not about third world hunger, poverty or gender issues. You could as easily replace your post with "There are no children in DayZ, do you know how that makes parents feel?" because that makes just as little sense. I salute your ambition to fight for a new view on gender and sexual identity, but know where to fight your battles, you are coming off as a lunatic when you bring it up here.

    Your highest Zombie body count.

Got 500+ zombie kills once, but my last character only got to 400+ despite having 32 days to his name and roughly 50 hours game time.
  5. I can confirm this as well. Wrong patch info to keep people out, despite having the latest patch, and kicking players that aren't in the server admins clan. As I understand it, Rocket knows how important server control is and wants to keep all server hosts in line. People such as the admins of LU 82 are undermining the success of Dayz.

    Longest time you've stayed alive?

32 days. 300+ zombie kills, 0 murders/bandits, although it's been close a few times. I travel both alone and with a group. Just got my flashlight, never spawned with flashlight yet. Have had a UAZ, a Bus and now an ATV. Got a silenced mp5 and a glock for zombies, and a M4 CCO for self defense. A few rules for a longer life: 1. Learn how the engine works so you don't fall/glitch as often. 2. Avoid Cherno/Electro. I still haven't visited Cherno despite having played for 3 months. 3. Focus on stocking your toolbelt. Cooked meat will save you later, and at little risk. 4. Don't be afraid to play at night. Zombies are quite harmless at night. 5. (optional) Shoot first.

    Pending Update: Build 1.7.2

Just lower other ambient sounds, such as birds during fog. The level of noise increased by fog would be next to unnoticeable inn real life.
  8. NO. Too contrived. Slight maybe because it could help survivors trust each other more, but i prefer increasing incitement for cooperation instead.
  9. I still think this would be a neat balancing solution: Give the gun and 5 mags to new players. For every respawn, reduce the amount of mags by 1, and finally remove the gun altogether.
  10. I like this idea! +1 So do I. Great way of inciting cooperation.

    'DayZ' Facebook Page

:exclamation: First of all, there is already an official page, so I'm sorry but you are just adding to the confusion on Facebook.:exclamation: Here it is: https://www.facebook.com/DayZMod If Rocket / the team haven't agreed to let you do this, then it isn't official. Calling it official will only make you seem immature and attention seeking. You should have contacted the team first and gotten their approval. Now you are using imagery not associated with Day Z as a backdrop, tampering with the logo. These things might annoy people, so I suggest getting Rocket on board before you do things like this.
  12. YES, BUT give a players FIRST character Makarov and 5 mags. One less mag/respawn, down to no mags, no gun. +new players gets gun/defense +old players don't +easy GUID fix? +Learn to not rely on gun +Learn to value every characters life since next character will have less ammo

    Product placement

When I read the rumour that Rocket now works full-time on Day Z, I thought of the implications. If he receives his pay check from BI for working on Day Z, and they make money from it, there might be implications. I'm not sure, but I think there's a difference if he does it on his own time, or if he gets paid to do it, because then it could be considered part of a commercial product. (Arma 2)
