Question two: How does it happen that 3 near-by bandits are completely caught by surprise shortly after the hospital was cleared out from Zs by force of unsilecened arms and the resulting deafening noise of gunshots? For my taste the stereotypes are a little bit overdone: bandit = pretty dump first person narrator (hero?) = lucky & smart But have not completed half of the chapters yet.

I have the same problem. I get kicked by battleye: scripterror: restriction #40 or restriction #44. All of them were v1.7.5.1 servers. My dayz version also is v1.7.5.1.

Instead of your "it needs addressed-bla-bla"- and "it impossible to stealth"-slogans you better get the facts right.

What happens if you don't know the rules. Rule #10: Be Quiet: Its the end of the world as you know it so try to avoid squeeling like a 4th grade school girl and perhaps invest in some good sneakers. Nobody said you have to kill all the zombies and there is certainly no shame in sneaking around and surviving versus tearing and shooting around like a madman and ending up being an undead happy meal. Rule #6: Travel in a Group: The best way to increase your odds of survival when travelling in a zombie outbreak is to make sure your a traveling buffet. Going it alone gives the zombies no choices but to eat you. Going it with the careless hero with his big gun, the little kid who cant run and the middle aged man with the plastic leg gives the zombies more options and you better odds you can run away faster then they can.

i had no problems during log out. Saw no timer. Played on ca. four v1.7.5 servers.

No, not just you. But there's one exception: when you are waiting for "game" motionless in ambush.

In real live when a cross bow arrow hits a human body the arrow can get bend slightly even if its a steal bolt. The flight characteristics are screwed and so it is useless. Thats exactly what we see in Dayz with the only 60-80% getting back chance.

So admins on official dayz-servers misuse their "power" to get all the finest gear?

I was sitting near the fireplace. Took ca. 10 minutes to raise the temp to relative greenish. PS: in Chernarus

My expirience is: i had to sit 10 minutes near the campfire to rise my temp to normal.

Wait, what? You miss it? Actual there are Hardcore servers and they have all the regular night/day cycle.

THis could explain the horse sounds ... See what is written in the zombie survival guide under topic "Transportation / Alternate / The Horse": " No one can dispute the obvious advantage of an escape on horseback. Fueling from a gas station becomes irrelevant. Extra supplies are reduced to feed, blanket, and some additional medicine. Terrain options increase, as four hooves don't need a road." etc. etc. "A drawback, specific to dealing with zombies, is that horses are notoriously spooked by the undead. Even the scent of a zombie, carried by the wind and maybe miles from the source, will be enough to send most horses into hysterics. This could be an advantageous early-warning system... " etc.

Ok, there is indeed this rule... Rule #33: Keep the Dumb Dumbs Close at Hand: One of the most sure fire ways of making sure you survive is keeping the less intelligent as close at hand as possible. When you find somebody who asks you 'Whats going on? What Happened? Those are the ones you want with you. That way when the zombies come they are likely to stupid to realize its not Amway calling and run. But when someone asks "How to startup ... ?", "Can i fly this?" etc. then its high time to weighed up rule #33 against rule #8. Rule #8: Get a Kick Ass Partner
