you have room to improve. whats your ghz? some tweaks in the CFG could help immensely and definitely if you get over 4.0ghz some how you will see much improvement. Also AMD known to run a bit shittier than intel, but I heard fixes are happening for that.

my brain hurts but yes im sure in time others maps will be available, or at least from the modding community. remember A-L-P-FUCKING-H-A, optimization and core mechanics...then beta then release..ask this question in 12 months

bye DayZ is deathmatch no matter how much content is in it...why the fuck would you want a game that has no deathmatch, sniping, pvp appeal...may as well go make an arma 3 mod that has unicorns and airsoft.

So what happened to the mouse? Mine is now squirrelly as all hell. I have tried playing with the sensitivity and such. Just updated to most recent patch. unplayable at this point. get the mod, you can find arma 2 oa cheap cheap. then you can play 20 variants of dayz. its a pretty amazing experience. i highly recommend this to everyone who hasnt played the mod. start with vanilla dayz, then try overwatch/dayzero/etc. vanilla dayz is nuts, that feeling of being lost and you suddenly find a busted up vehicle, spend all day trying to fix it. Stumble upon a downed heli crash sight full of zombies, sneak in, get some good gear, etc...fucking amazing.

yes and no a 3.0 ghz 2007 processor can be quite powerful and work well with SA. you need to be more specific. there ar i7s that are only clocking 2.25 ghz and can barely run the game... normal is also a relative term...hows your view distance? cgf settings?

^ get the second one, it has a far better video card. (7770) should play SA pretty good on max settings. The processor is lacking some juice though. thats actually a great priced gaming rig... its out of stock though, id try building a rig similar to that. but id swap in a cheaper case, get a 3770k processor or 4770k and a cheap water cooler and only 6-8gb ram gtx 680 if possible and ur done for a few years build from individual newegg parts or ncix or tigerdirect and you will save a bundle, only buy a gfx card that is on a good sale. will help save $$$ motherboard is important as well, go for something that is overclock and gaming friendly. Asus or gigabyte.

^ guaranteed. also remember the ps4 and xbox are running slower processors than most pc's. Albeit custom hardware for gaming, much much lower clock speeds than your average i5. that being said I just dont think the consoles will be able to support a direct pc port, maybe a very slim version on a smaller map with 32 max players or something.

tin foil hats man... think about it, you payed someone early for a product...they already have your money...so why bother finishing the project? there is more incentive to finish a project when you havent been payed yet! pro tip, if in a big town like elektro...crawl to a tall building or structure with a ladder. (crane, school, warehouse) CLIMB the fucking ladder and jump off...problem solved.

had an i7 930 2.5 ghz, bought an antec khuler 620 (best cheapest water cooler) for $50 and overclocked to 4.25 ghz. fps went through the roof. now if you overclocking from 3.7 to 4.0, you wont see such a diffy. but overclocking is certainly worth it and something you should play with. Cause whats life without fucking around/modding shit. Just make sure your water cooled and follow guides as per your mobo and cpu and make sure your 24 hrs stable. contrary to a few posts here, it is not that difficult and time consuming. the beauty of internets is that 400 other people with your motherboard and cpu/ram etc have already figured it out and posted the results. Specially with the popular processors and setups. so while not every cpu is identical you have a very good baseline or startpoint. sometimes you get luckier than others...my situation was about 3 days to complete overclock. 1 setup, 2 days of over night testing. but no downtime inbetween just a bunch of reading and changing values. Use ur cell phone camera, document! everything and save your bios settings frequently to a USB!

what ^ he said. and as a youth gamer in 2014, if you cant figure out how to build a computer i feel sorry for your future. maybe ask mummy and daddy to build it for you. my father in law is 78 and he decided he wanted to "learn computers"...needles to say he is a meticulous and detail oriented old timer. Guess what he figured out how to do all by himself? i7 4770k, over clocked, proper water block and cooler system and a titan...LOL. I nearly shat my pants when he said hey come check out my new computer I built...i thought he "built" a dell on the website or something.

the day vehicles hit the EXP the servers will explode. vehicles are just a requirement because thats what people are used to in the mod and breakingpointa3. so its just one of those things that is a hot topic and always complained about. that being said, the whole revamped engine and server side reliance of SA is a difficult task. So making vehicles completely server side,etc is a task and a half. But the pay off is performance and impossible to hack (hopefully) there was nothing worse than see a fighter jet fly by in the mod LOL

hah, look at breaking point for arma 3. now thats a well polished game base (arma 3) and a wonderfully done mod on top of it. its basically a working standalone with vehicles and humanity. But it has reached its potential and is basically a really good PVP experience with some fun survival elements. (with amazing ballistics and weapons that SA cant touch...oh and the player movement is ace)

wow these threads... OP its a sandbox game with no rules! its just a video game, relax, take it with a grain of salt. It is DayZ...this frustration is why the game is popular. if only everyone was forced to live through the mod, we would have a nice mature player base... banditry and kill on sight is normal and to be expected. you have to adjust your playstyle based on the situation: -- random encounter in a low loot area like a forest or something? Have fun with your player interaction. -- looting the airfield? has its risks! almost always people will shoot you for your stuff. Fix? -- play better, be more sneaky, use the trees, etc.
