why not play a different server location? i find pretty good ping on anything north america, and even the UK ones arent horrible. im in canada.

sure thats great, but the reality is and i quote "in the current state loot only spawns on server restart" cool concept, similar to real life. but at this time it is frustrating for the vast majority. Im fine with the way it is, just offering suggestions to make this a bit more fun.

its not that dude, its the mechanic. loot spawns 1 time and 1 time only on server restart...not like the mod where it respawns. meaning anything of value, hospitals, barns, large civilian, military are all gone within an hour. so to find loot people server hop or look for new or 0 player servers and then loot up, hope back to a populated one

to keep people happy they should start generous, with the loot and day cycles and such so people can actually get some time out of the game. instead of just mad dashing up north or server hopping. why not make loot more favorable for surviving right now and then dial it in as we go, thus letting people play a single life a bit longer. why not have day a bit longer so people can actually see the game for what it is, maybe spreading out server load at the same time? what is the impact on servers and fps and such if 35% of the players are server hopping just to find daylight or loot spawns?

again I plug arma 3... they could have simply used arma 3 night time mechanic and everything would be amazing... night time is ballz and at this point its more like being forced to play night time. give us option at least. give us an indicator on which servers are night and day

i think #1 priority is to add vehciles..honestly weve all played running simulator for the last year... even just bicycles is enough... the system is so broken, you cant even run 5-10km without dying or passing out. Either balance this whacky hunger system or add methods of faster travel. Jeez im not in the best shape ever and I can jog 5km without dying lol

I think the weapons in arma 3 are 10x better than SA...i think they should have spent more time on important aspects of the game than making 3 shitty ass weapons for release. how about just using the arma 3 weapons and attachments systems? they work better, look better and are already developed??? seem logical.

all you need to do is overclock that CPU and you will be getting over 40 fps... 2.x ghz is not nearly enough imguessing its an i7 920,930,950? simple simple OC to 4.25 ghz or higher

guys i hate to break it, but about 5 minutes of optimization in the CFG file will give you another 20 fps. I hate seeing people with way better rigs than me getting such shit fps. im gtx 570 with 65fps, no less than 30 fps in towns. mind you my processor is an old i7, but it's overclocked. do what the OP said, and also check reddit for the CFG file changes something like max frames ahead = 1 and something else about frames... -same crap as in arma 2, 3. they LITERALLY gave me 20 fps

you know who got it right? braking point arma 3...its so fucking fluid and intuitive. he should take a que from deathlyRage this whole random text system with energy levels vs health levels and regen if food = above 80%, etc etc is fucking ridiculous. honestly they should have focused on things to keep the game playable for alpha relese, not the perfect compass rendering like OP said.

OP you post it like your going to make a difference anything that has popularity will be exploited...you cant do anything about it. in the gaming industry, the more popular, the more hacked...simple as that. its going to be the usual with SA, hackers find an exploit, use it till everyone finds out, Dev's patch it, hackers find another exploit, use it till its found, dev's patch it, do i need to keep going? of course they are already using the cheat engine, it was a simple hack. People literally spend their time playing with the mechanics of these games for fun. then release their results on many forums.

dude <snip> is already hacking Standalone, not 24 hours after release.due to some lack of security of the alpha. the hype train is far too long, so it is inevitable that SA will be plagued with hacks of some sort...maybe there will be limits to what can be done because of the serverside mechanics. Nonetheless there will be hacks.

easiest thing to do man, scour ebay and the classifieds (like kijiji here in canada) for processor + mobo combo's. most of the time you can get someones slightly older i7 and mobo and ram for like 200$ if that... tigerdirect.com has great deals on motherboard/cpu combos. i got my i7 930 and mobo and ram for $300 from a local classified and overclocked it with a 50$ water cooler and now i get 70 fps sometimes. You should shoot for a i7 2600k or higher to be more future proof. where do you live?

this is why overwatch is so popular...surviving is just not as fun anymore. In my opinion of course.. There are no new elements that entice a player to survive and interact, etc. base building? meh (epoch and origins) RP ? dayz RP...boring At least overwatch, you can jump (literally on some servers) in to the action, find reasonable loot within 5 mins and start takeing peopel out on the coast.... no need to complain about KOS either, because everyeone KOS :) I like what origins is doing, they are adding some serious elements and massive updates. Not to mention the huge map update. taviana is the tits.

id say more realistic the better, so on a massive map like cherno 70+ i would love to see a 100 person server overwatch...mmmm

thats not too bad, I hope your speaking in dollars, not british pounds though the gtx 650 is sub par, and the processor could be better. i suspect you can get away with it, 30-40 fps MAX MAX If I were you id try buying the components separate and get a faster processor at least. put it this way, i went from playable 30fps 2.8 ghz i7 to 4.5 ghz (over clocked) and shot up to over 60 fps...its amazing the difference processor makes

you trolling or are you serious? yes you will run it perfectly fine, use common sense and google please. that is a gaming pc with an i5 and 4.4 ghz...of fucking course you can run it, and well. dual core? under 3 ghz? shitty video card? =low settings i5 or i7 above 3.5 ghz? dedicated > gtx 460 vid card? =excpect to run it medium-high the next person who asks if their i5 4.4ghz or i7 4770k over clocked to 6million ghz with 74 gb ram and gtx 1 million should get banned lol
