I dont think there should be any system in place that rewards one way or another or punishes one way or another. I would like to see some proof as well, im pretty sure the honour system was low on the totem pole compared to other systems! how many times must we quote dean and the website "this is your story" it aint my fucking story if your telling me who I "should" kill and shouldnt.

I should have said GHZ GHZ GHZ... i7 vs i5 is irrelivant im on a old 930, and kick most peoples FPS...but thats due to high clock speed and understanding the optimization. I spent a solid month with arma 2 and the mod just trying to max my fps, after every tweak and suggestion I simply bought a cheap watercooler and broug her over 4 ghz and never looked back..if you want fps, make sure your clock speed is over 4ghz and you time your memory and such. It is actually quite simple to do with google and forums.

I have yet to try this, but I remember in arma 3 having to download 0.5gb-1gb files when switching builds. extremely annoying... Is this the case with steam/SA?

CPU CPU CPU, all you need is more cpu and everything is gravy. (4.25 ghz +) im still running a gtx 570 and am more than happy with my FPS. Typically 40-60.

he talking about server hopping timer...so you join 1 server, play on it. the end. or if you insist on switching to another server then you have to wait xxx amount of time. it works really well, eliminates server hopping entirely. why the fuck would anyone suggest a respawn timer after you get killed lol

10 minutes is too long for sure...say you get booted from server for rejected connection or whatever...then you try another server and BAM! 10 minute timer...it happens quite frequently on BP a3. For me, when this happens i go away for several days in frustration... so i think they should implement a lower amount of time, it will stop the hopping at least. I wouldnt be fucked to go joing another server if it took me 2-4 minutes extra...dayz is a great pickup game for me. that being said, nothing will work while they have the stupid loot spawn on server restart. i think this should be patched immediately...who cares about magnum speed loaders...work on getting a fucking loot spawn timer and putting the the server switch timer to curb hopping

more than once... best advise i got on here was making you game lag, and lagging your way out with jump. i turned on some heavy downloads, and just spammed vault and was out in no time. worked like a charm

Like others mentioned, stick to the same 5-10 servers and youll be fine. Vilayer.com, gameservers.com, fragnet, mpgs, the big ones..(i prob misspelled a few of those...) I was wiping my character here and there because i was joining servers that were quite on the hive or something, even though they had the standard info at the start of the server name...but found about 5-10 favorites and now it hasnt wiped in a week or so.

asus g73sf $600 USD, has a dedicated gtx 460 and an i7 in it...none of that on board crap. Murders dayzSa relatively speaking... but im confused at your topic op? buyer beware? let people fend for themselves? too bad if you cant be fucked to research the simple fact that playing video games on laptops is iffy at best?

google your motherboard + overclock you will see other users successfull settings to put it up to 4.25+ my 2.8 ghz went easily to 4.25, your 3.7 may easily go to 4.5 ghz and blow dayz up well worth it for all games...

ya maybe not, but for $50 you can get an all in one cooler and attach it to the cpu. case temps are lower, less clutter and cpu temps are insanely low. simple overclock a few notches and your done...and you would gain an easy 10fps if not more.

i agree! and some people "the hardcore" ones will argue all day long to live with the darkness and such. honestly fuck that, i play video games for fun. I want to see detail and graphics, etc. so piss on the night time, show me a day/night in the server list (not that that worked perfectly in the mod) Also, you can just wait for fresh servers that have 0 pop in the list, generally they have loot and are day... or super high pop servers generally are light, but have 0 loot and just a bunch of fuck tards trying to force feed you rotten fruit

such is dayz... had 5 people yesterday in balota on some non whitelist server come up to me with shovels asking to have a "chat" luckily i outran them...i smelled rotten kiwi force feedings... its insane out there

overclock that to 4.25 ghz and you will see a real diffy...im running a gtx 570 and get the same fps as youtubers with gtx 680s and such. remembering too that its not optimized as great as it could be yet. So were all suffering. but higher CPU clock speed is the most effective

haha ya well said OP. just wait for GPS, you will have to stop, sit down, insert batteries, place in hand, open manual, read directions (in russian), turn on, calibrate, etc..
