ive gone through a few monitors...

if they dont add a server hopping timer (easy as piss and honestly should have been in since day 1) even just a 2-3 minute timer, just enough to annoy server hoppers/ghosters i will still play...haha but to do the above they must do loot timer proper...not this current restart only sys... but realistically just pull the 10 sec log out timer from the mod and the server hop timer from the mod/breaking point A3 fix rubberbanding and toss in a few more Zs and were happy. that is a lot for 8 dayz though!

laptop: CPU: Intel mobile core 2 duo @2.26 (only 4% difference from the minimum 2.4 on benchmark) RAM: 3GB Graphics card: Geforce 9600m GT agreed...those specs on a pc would be nearly unplayable. I have a core 2 duo pc with a radeon low profile (cant remember which but its better than my gtx 460) and the CPU is just not enough for SA or the Mod...mod is like 20-25 fps at best and SA is near the same.

Ahhh ok makes sense...i think you could sniff closer to 5. Try HT off...unless you use your rig for video editing and other high intensity stuff. Just test it...i was unstable with HT on, read with my rig it would help to turn off and im stable 24+ hours now @ 4.25 on an OOOOLD i7 then again life is good where you are and you can play any game including SA at great fps.

Its not that simple...game is an open world 200 some odd kilometer sandbox with tons of server side things happening and ideally over 50 people per server. like the mod, it really takes a fair amount of computer to play. SA works better for some than others, i find it runs not as good as the mod. That being said its base alpha and not yet optimized to its potential. Give it time, as alpha typically is the stabilizing stage. Crysis 3 / bf 4 are linear in comparison and can probably be played on low settings on those systems. Also remember they are backed by huge gaming companies that start development with half a billion dollars...not throw out an alpha and charge half price...

Typical nonsense....steam servers are temporarily down and guess what? the server browser is not working either...no problem ill go to a server from my history... perfect im in a game..........2 minutes in to a game on any given server I get booted for authentication reasons. nice 1 devs...nice... Honestly I get the whole pirating thing, but its alpha and should be 100% reliant on fucking steam servers... I grimaced the day steam became mainstream, fuck i miss going to ebgames and buying a fucking copy of a game (not that they sell alpha) anyhoo c:\rant -kill

yup close and remove this shite... server hopping has been ruining SA since day 1 and for fucks sake there has been 100 remedies posted but nothing done by the devs... problem 1, servers only respawn loot on restart... problem 2, no server changing timer how easy would it be to put a 3 minute timer on switching servers...insta fix

cownado LOL @ that GPU...420 hahah (just the 420 part im laughing at, childish i know..) its a powerful card...but not a gaming card. you should be ok to play low-medium at an acceptable FPS...but i dont know about that video card im just guessing it will work ok. evertying else is ok...the CPU speed could be upped a bit maybe, depending how savvy you are Romm hells ya! i got the same system cept my processor is 4.25 ghz...but your gfx card is better...so you will be around 25-30 fps in cities and 55 fps outside of Swurvy, should be fine dude. not the best ever, but it will be decent fps on medium-high

nice info! jesus chrsit 4.6 ghz stock on a 4770k??? i want one! you could OC that to 5ghz or more with little effort and a mid-high end GPU and SA would get a whopping 70 fps lol

reasonable enough i think ^ 15-20 fps cities, 30-40 outside maybe... your vid card is a bottleneck also SA doesnt like AMD...search for dayz SA AMD fix and also how to optimize just so you understand, guys with the most top end systems are getting 30 fps in cities and 60 fps outside... im an i7 930 (old i7) with 4.25 ghz and a gtx 570 and I only get 55 fps outside and 30 inside cities...

yes hives are necc..you need a central database to hold our our precious precious loot and character info server hopping can be instantly eliminated by adding a penalty for those who needlessly join multiple servers in a row...simple done the end. DayZ is very unique with its central hive setup. It works well for this type of game. We can join any server on the hive at any time...want to play daytime? np your character is there...want to play a night server? no problem it works there too. and so on

your chosen...now open steam, right click on SA, click BETAS tab, click OPT IN TO... now load SA and filter servers accordingly... there is a thread on how to somewhere (you can play the test builds that they are working with)

Sounds like the rubber banding lag effect. I rarely experience this, but i generally play on LOW POP and low ping servers...which are in my region. this problem is the one where you are doing something and get teleported back to what you were doing a minute ago...maybe this is what you experienced? if so, this is common and being fixed ASAP

your ping is fine, just make sure your playing on UK servers with under 80 ping. your computer is barely enough. So basically you CPU is lacking the GHZ to play the game at higher levelsyour GFX car is sub par as well for the game. those 2 factors alone will make your time less enjoyable. I run a q9550 at work with a gtx 460 and i can get 20-30 fps on SA. but a gtx 460 is much much better than your gfx card...your biggest bottleneck is the low processor speed and your gfx card SA is alpha not optimized and hog for even high end systems

such an interested concept for SA. half fucking hate RP half absolutely love it. only way it would work is player whitelistings and some sort of entry application. also server bans available to owners, etc there are many who would join "RP" servers to take advantage of the rules and generally fuck with people .. cant say I wouldnt try it haha

about the same setup as me. i7 930 though @ 4.25 and 1 570... i would have thought you could squeeze a few more fps than me with those in SLI...but maybe SA isnt using SLI yet? you should be able to overclock that to 4.5 very easily. provided you have water cooler. wait you just wrote you can play, so why are you asking? i dont think that system will run dayz. its a very low end laptop right?
