  1. Okay, stop confusing real life with a game. There's no zombies in real life, and hopefully you're not killing anyone in real life.

    New GUI

Make a new GUI so the GUI doesn't look anything like old ARMA, including menus, inventory and all that.

    New GUI

You see this website? It doesn't look like ARMA website does it? Having an identity is important. What do you think a new player who tries Day Z thinks of selecting Blufor when he starts the game? Just doesn't make any sense. Just one example. Anyone who argues against a game having its own GUI and identity is just crazy. Yes, it will probably not be first thing done. But it should certainly be done at one point.

    New GUI

I would also appreciate some custom loading screens. That certainly isn't something that takes a lot of resources. Some cool screenshots from Day Z with the Day Z logo would be enough.
  5. Well, no computer can run ARMA 2 all the way maxed out with decent performance.

    New GUI

Uhm, because why should games have the same GUI as one and another? All games should have its own GUI. The default ARMA GUI is clunky, at best. It will also give the game more identity and atmosphere.
  7. This is what I was thinking regarding the whole deathmatch fest thing... The way everything is setup now, with "perma death" and all, who has something to lose? Only those who's played for a while. The 5 minute fresh player has nothing to lose, so you can just keep running around shooting whoever you want, dying, respawning, and just keep doing that. Isn't this the biggest problem? Maybe even the completely new player should have something to lose. Just a bad example of a rule, but if you die within 30 minutes of having spawned a new character you can't spawn again for 5 hours. Just an example of consequence not necessarily a suggestion. But it's not right that only those who's played for a long time have something to lose.
