I think this idea is an exxcellent feature of how survival in a zombie land can Drasticly change and evolve... You cant just run in a direction casue encounters such as this will be harmful and make a twist to the game!

Very interesting concept it would add to the idea the the player has there own choice on how to survive(should i land in this field. city, airstrip?) I would go along to add another idea of yours to add a wait time between lives so that when you kill a player you may loot them with out havving the same playing fly down and land right on you!
