lol @ everyone crying about snipers.. You can easily overwatch Stary with an m16 as effectively as with a DMR. COD kids dont like the difficuly of having to actually use their sights, and just go for easy mode...snipeir rifles. These are the same people that shoot frantically through their scope as you run up on them, showing them what real skill is. P.S. Veteran ARMA players know what I am talking about, especially those that play ACE

This is the =7Cav= guy that shot up the tree you were behind.. You absolutely did log out and move friend. I was watching you from 300m through my L85 when you ran from the east towards the west into the red factory building. You and the zombies chasing you disappeared. I moved in to try to secure Goat's body, and in the process completely cleared the factory compound, camped the catwalks of the red building (I never said I was a pro, which is why I missed him), and then took up over watch on the northeast hill because I knew you were coming back for those vehicles. During the time I was waiting, I ran 350m back to goats body to keep his gear from despwaning, and then back to cover. 5 minutes later I see goat coming over the hill, and all of a sudden a player appear to his right. Player kills Goat, I shoot the tree next to him because face it, I'm a beaver and beavers love wood. During my firing, I take 2 shots and die. Nowhere during the 5 minutes you were gone was a gunshot fired at me as I ran full sprint trying to draw fire. Sir, do not insult the community, MrEpicGoat or myself by attempting to cover up your scandalous ways and cry admin abuse. As far as I know, you are banned from the server for using illegal tactics and weapons. Issue has been resolved, can this thread be locked please?

Good job man!! Good way to summarize what the community is currently feeling. "I'm Rock Daniels, and I'm always friendly in Cherno" - That's awesome lol Maybe point out the areas that bandits snipe from in Cherno/Elektro because many people dont even know WHERE to look. Basically, the tips you gave about the barbed wire and the mildot video are awesome, keep it up!

There is a spot at the airfield that I can get a 1000m shot on the firehouse and 1200m to the south end of the airfield. I have never made a shot at that distance, but looking that far, the grass/trees don't render. This is probably how you were seen, if it was a legit kill. On the other hand I too have been insta-killed, while laying in trees, or in the very far north. Found out it was a dude i met in game that was hacking, and teleported around the map killing people. tl;dr --> No way of ever knowing.

DMR crosshairs are zeroed to 300m and the mildots will hit accurately upto 800m. Each mildot under the crosshair is +100m, ending at 800m (this mark is where the skinny line of the crosshair meets the thick line) zooming does not effect the zerioing, at least as far as I can tell. Case in point..I saw a guy run from the ATC tower at the airfield. I was 650m away with the DMR. I aimed using the 3rd mildot, just over his head. Two shot, 2 hits, and yes I was double zoomed

YES!! DONT EQUIP IT!!! I lost my coyote pack the other day because I equipped the rocket. If I were you id place ur bag in a tent 1st, just so you dont erase it. Edit: You can put it in ur backpack just fine, but when you equip it, it takes ur backpack slot, erasing it

So after we got hacked, we said on Teamspeak we were getting a Dev to come, and a couple minutes later Apples disconnects. About 3 mins later, [Apoc]Nick joined, who wasn't a member of [Apoc], and had a muted mic. Looked at the TS server logs for IP's and... *REMOVED* GUID: *REMOVED* Also, many of us were killed mysteriously after refusing to dupe gear, myself being one of them. I just chalked it up to being unlucky until Apples made a comment about me being killed by someone named Michael in a field. I questioned him and he changed the subject quickly. I had this problem too..till I turned off my Anti-Aliasing. bushes looked a little blocky but no FPS lag!!

Publik This can and has been done. Using barbed wire and sandbags you can make proper defenses. With roving patrols, you wont need to worry about snipers, as you will know what is out there at all times. When [Legion] was around we did it and it worked for almost 5 days. We had a huge stockpile, and were even trading guns and specialty ammo for blood bags. It worked great, and I got to see every kind of weapon spawn. TL:DR Screw the haters, IT HAS BEEN DONE. Loaded up Arma to play on the 7th Cav Tactical Realism server, saw 5 (yes ONLY 5) DayZ servers and thought Id check out the new mod. Played before waiting for server response was an issue, PK's rarely happened and this was a ZOMBIE survival mod. You know, the good ol' days.
