TWS is the thermal scope and it doesn't matter what gun its on. Battleye will not global ban you for having one and the only thing an admin can do is ban you from his private server. If a live player, admin or not, teleports behind you they had to use a hack or are abusing admin powers playing with the database and that server really isn't worth your time anyways.

Its 15 minutes unless a zombie or player is in the area. I've had them last an hour when my killer stayed nearby and disappear 20 minutes later from dying in a heli crash with no one else around.

When I'm out and about there is nothing I take seriously. When I have some objective or other I'm all business. I treat everyone nicely if I can but definitely play by my own self imposed rules. I always help people if I can. doesn't matter if a hero needs a pickup, someone needs a bloodbag or a bandit needs help with a kill. I'm a nuetral merc who's loyalty goes 100% with whoever asks for it first. I never make permanent allegiances with groups but there are some people I know who I will always go out of my way to help when needed. I don't shoot on sight unless someone is hiding with a sniper rifle or is pointing their gun in my direction. Other than that I throw .50 cals on the ground and mark the map where ever I left a vehicle or heli when I log out. Its more fun for me exploring and looking for new stuff than it is worrying about crap I can't carry. Oh yea, and I'm 100% successful so far in killing every single person who has ever tried to hold me up. Sometimes a satchel charge or nade takes us both out but I will not be bullied or robbed in this game. I'd much rather roll my own dice and hope for a closer spawn than leave it to the whims of some jackass with nothing better to do.

To find them doing something wrong takes some work on your part. When someone connects, check out their gear. If you're using Dayz.st they have a map that you can watch and see where people are going and use the map and database to see what they have on joining and at some other point later. You can also see where they have been as it tracks them. You can easily check their id on the map, then crosscheck that in the database to see if its a regular that just changed names. This will make it pretty obvious if they spawn in for the first time on your server and beeline to a heli or vehicle they couldn't possibly know is there. Another thing these guys will do is use that same ESP hack to find and kill players. I've seen a few new players get a couple kills then checking it out shows they seemed to go straight towards other players they couldn't see. Kill that guy then straight towards another player they couldn't see. Just make sure you have a ban appeal process, as you never know if someone is a friend of a regular player and is being told where to go or has a spotter checking things out.

Been spending all my time on http://disgamingdayz.enjin.com/home this clan's Dayz server. They have a lot of great people playing and have community events. I'm not in the clan so I can't get you in or anything but am always letting new players know about a great place to play.

Since the gold revolver is just as garbage as the regular one, why not add it if people want it?

You need to be whitelisted, and that means you go to the site, email your in game name and GUID to the server admin and he lets you in. Its something good servers do to keep random hackers and griefers away. If you plan on playing a while, and trying different servers its something you should definitely get used to. Even if you decide to game elsewhere, eventually you will want to get into a whitelisted server. PM here and I can walk you through how to get the info you need.

Lol so many losers crying about the possibility of not being able to get one shot kills. I have found 3 m107's in the last few weeks and mearly every single bandit I've killed has had one of those two guns. Just because the loot table has a small chance to.drop one means mothing because people hold on to them. When I.find one I throw it in the nearest bush. Don't let anyone ever try to kid you, they are 100% a coward's weapon and should not be in Dayz. To the moron saying well its in Arma2 then where are my Dayz tanks and Apache's?

If you're using Dayz Commander, click on the favorites tab and up top there are two boxes for ip/port. You can use that one time to have easy access to the server instead of adding it in remote every time in game.

I paid for a server, learned the database and how to edit the map just to help a guy I met in this game get some of those kinds of things into the map. There is a lot of dead space on the map, and just adding in a few things here and there adds so much more to the gameplay and overall feeling of immersion. Luckily he didn't ask me to go overboard with military grade weapon boxes everywhere but instead, went with something much more subtle and it blew me away at people's reactions to how a few simple additions, that make sense, change their perceptions of the map so much. Also, I thought Chernarus was an ex soviet state. That would mean they had access to quite a bit of military hardware depending on how strategically located they were.

I was part of two competitive clans and decided since there weren't many tourney's worth playing in for BO2 I would find something to play for a week or two while I waited. Now that I've been booted from those clans for inactivity I actually had to have a friend on Steam ask me if I got the new dlc before I realized it even came out. I came expecting guns and zombies and not much else. Turns out to be one of my favorite games I've played in a while. Even got AC3 for free when I bought my new video card and other than loading the game one time, haven't even touched it. I like everything Dayz lets you do. I help a lot of people and kill a lot of people. Also enjoy just creeping around towns trying to be as stupid as possible just to see how reckless I can be and still make it out alive.

I'll probably buy both and see which one looks amd plays better. Right now I'm just going to be happy with Arma2 mod and wait and see.

Stole some food out of a tent that was way up north. Short while later some guy is screaming about it in side chat saying he was about to starve to death and someone had taken his last can of sardines. His death spam came up in chat about a minute later.

Not bad for your first spawn of episode one.

I had the bad serial problem as well. Find the folder where your arma2 OA is, then go inside. Right click and run that as administrator. For whatever reason, when my OA beta installed, it didn't have rights to update the registry. If using steam, right click the OA beta line and see if it says register game or view cd key. If it says register game you have to manually run the games from the folder with the right click 'run as administrator' for them to fix themselves.

Currently reinstalling Arma2 and all the expansions as I have this same problem. I can hear my own gun but cannot hear any other guns being fired, even when right next to me, and no one seems to be able to hear my gun. On the one hand my DMR is silenced but on the other I have died more often since 1.7.5.1 as I have no indication that I am being fired at until I get hit or they miss in the direction I am moving.

Pretty much. Or you just find it yourself. Sucks that there is so much killing on sight that there really isn't much reason to bother trying to trade. On the other side of that, though, there isn't much in this game that I both feel that I need and can't find on my own.

Had a new one I've never seen. Only thing bad on the red jetta was the fuel tank. It showed oj from the scroll wheel and took a jerry with nothing to show for it. When I got into the driver's seat it was showing red on the fuel tank but still oj outside. Went back, filled the jerry, repaired the fuel tank and no amount of fuel seems to be filling the tank. Waited for a restart, and still nothing. Ended up blowing the car up so hopefully next restart it can spawn working again.

I like the hallucination from illness. If you get a cold and that turns into a fever, high tmeperatures could cause them. I also like the twenty hour or at least a reduced day/night cycle. With what you have now some players have no choice but to be eternally in day or night. By the time I get off of work I can either play with 200 pings or at night. While night doesn't really bother me by itself it starts to suck when thats all you see. Its also one of the reasons I play only on private hives.

Another plus to this system is that hoarders would have all their stuff in easily accessible places instead of in the middle of the northern forest. This way I can destroy everything much more easily thus re-distributing it to the rest of the server where it belongs next restart. If you try to take more than you can log out with I intend to take it away from you.

Don't know if this issue is specific to me or the people you mentioned but there is an option that you can check or uncheck in Dayzcommander that says launch using Steam. Any time I have that enabled I get a script error. Mentioning this in case you have trouble with commander. I bought Arma2 through Steam but Steam doesn't need to be running to have commander launch the game.

Since I love the fact that Dayz allows us to make our own stories, I would want this to be extremely minimalist, but it would be cool if one in 100,000 zombies killed happened to have some kind of note on them. Something detailing their life or its coming to an end like a fragment of a journal or something. I really liked the L4D series where you could see all of these writings on the walls of the saferooms and since its very minimal, your mind gets to fill in all of the blanks instead of being walked through some lame story you don't care about.
