    You have to click Hide Unofficial if you only want to play on official servers and keep your equipment between servers. Private hives can be fun because they can modify the servers with new buildings, vehicles, starting loadouts, etc.

    It can be fun by yourself, but if you find a good server with AI, it can add a new flavor to playing alone (See KillinZedz in the browser for an AI server).

    Putting your gun down is bad advice. At least if you have your gun and the other person is intent on shooting at you, you'll have a chance with your gun. Personally, I don't usually shoot at other people if they aren't an apparent threat to me.

    I've been trying to find a server host that has Lingor Skaranator and after reading this thread, I've gone with you guys. I hope I won't regret it. I have another host for my other two servers, but they don't have that version of Lingor which is why I started looking elsewhere. I also tried another host that has this version, but their support is so slow and I can't get my server running with them, so I'm taking advantage of their money back guarantee. I'm looking forward to a trouble-free server with Vert!

    Wow. Some people are taking this game a little TOOOOO seriously (OP?). Oh, and BTW. I think it's unfair when someone has a computer that lets them set all graphics to maximum. It gives them an unfair advantage over me, so they should get a computer with the same specs as mine.

    Toons? Anyway, every player is saved in the server's database as a number, so change your player's name as often as you like. You'll always be at the same place as where you left, with the same gear, etc.

    Try making a video of what is happening, because your explanation doesn't seem plausible. You tap the right mouse button to aim down sights. No tricks to it.

    Google "Dayz Wiki". There's lots of useful information there and you won't have to search the forums or wait for replies.

    I'm surprised no one has mentioned the fact that if the doors aren't open, chances are that you can't enter unless someone else happened to go in and close the door behind themselves. The exception to this is the small industrial buildings with the grey doors.

    Google "Dayz wiki". It contains mucho info for the new bambi. Also, find a server with no one playing and get a feel for the game.

    I've never tested it, but I believe if you place a helo in the 3D editor, you should be able to fly it in preview mode.
