I'm a little confused - What rules could you possibly be enforcing on a PvP server? I don't have admin cheats installed on my servers, so there's no way to abuse them. :)

That's rather specific? Don't think your ping would be good to servers in other states, like in Chicago or New York?

Wow... that's getting a little silly. What's next? The need to go to the bathroom? That would at least give the TP a use. You could wipe after taking a crap and if you don't, you start to attract zedz.

It's funny you say that considering that there are now more Epoch servers than standard Dayz servers. Epoch has roughly 2500. Regular Dayz has around 2000. Of course I run one of each for my community. :) Oh, Reverence, come check out my community's Epoch server. You'll be sure to find good players there.

Lots of good advice except one thing - Don't get speakers. Get some nice 7.1 Surround Sound headphones. Much better, don't disturb other people in the house and if you use in-game chat, or a chat server like TS3, people won't hear your game while you talk.

OP - Did you get it installed?

I've got a support ticket in with HFB Servers, but the control panel for my server on IP 173.208.44.50 won't start my server. I can start my other server without a problem, but that is on a different box in the same datacenter. Just curious if anyone else is with HFB Servers and is having this same issue right now. There's no telling how long it will be until I hear back from their support.

It turns out that the TCAdmin service needed to be restarted by them. Of course it took them 7 hours to reply to my ticket.

HFB Servers is updated to 1.8. They're pretty fast with the server updates.

A couple weeks ago I upgraded my computer and did a fresh install of my OS, but I forgot to back up my custom map .biede files, so I have the .sqf that was on the server and I'd like to edit it in the 3D editor. Is there a tool where I can convert the .sqf to .biede? I believe I need the .biede file to edit it?

No, an sqf file. I did some map edits, saved them with the 3d editor, then added them to my server.

I edited my admins.xml so my guid is correct and I set my group to "0". I can use commands like !upt (for server uptime) and !admins (To see what admins are online) but when I try using other commands, like !warn and !kick, they don't work. I modified my commands.xml a little so the commands were easier to remember: For example: <command id="11"><name>!kick</name><group>3</group><cmd>kick</cmd><time></time><text>Player kicked</text><desc>USAGE :: [!kpl name] or [!kpl name !r new reason] :: INFO -> Kick a player. use !r to set a cutoms reason.</desc></command>

I had to reinstall my OS, so I lost a lot of stuff I forgot to backup. I had Dayz set up so I could edit the map, adding custom buildings, etc, but now I can't seem to find all the information on setting that up again. I remember there were somes files I had to download and then add something to my command line. I also don't recall where the missions are stored. Lastly, if I start Dayz and click Alt-E, Chernarus isn't listed as a map I can edit. So, can someone point me to a map editing primer? I can't seem to find one with all my searches.

Can someone please tell me what I need to do to ensure that the vehicles spawning on my server spawn with a full tank of gas and fully repaired?

Stay away from HFB. They believe a 24 - 48 hour response time to tickets is acceptable and it says so in their support system.

I'm pumped up for the Standalone release, not the Alpha.

I can't figure out why anyone is excited about playing the Alpha. Have any of you ever actually played an Alpha? They are typically quite horrendous with lots of bugs and graphical issues. Even betas can be pretty bad. You shouldn't expect to get the alpha and actually have something worth playing other than helping to debug. The only thing I care about is the final release of the standalone.

I asked this on the DayZCC forum but no one's answered it there, so I figured I'd try here. In the Overview page, there's the option to "Spawn vehicles". I know this respawns any destroyed vehicles and I think it also respawns vehicles that haven't been touched in X number of days. Does anyone know how many days a vehicle has to be untouched to be respawned or if that's even the way it works? My host tells me it respawns all destroyed and broken vehicles, but I know that's not the case, as there are plenty of broken vehicles on my server, and they weren't respawned when I used that.

Will this be on DayzCommander?

I've got a Lingor Skaronator server with HFB. I've got the Instance table set up properly to have a custom starting loadout (Includes a hatchet, some medical items, etc) but when a new player joins the game, they don't get that loadout. The support people at HFB can't figure it out and no one at OpenDayz seems to know either, so is there anyone here running a Lingor Skaronator server and if so, do you have a working custom starting loadout?

So, I downloaded the latest filters for 1.7.7.1, but I'm finding my players being kicked for restrictions and I have to make adjustments to the files. Why do I need to make these changes? Should BE only be kicking for actual cheats?
