DayZ Launcher is Inefficient

Yeah, DZSALauncher is the way to go. All the mods you need for a server downloads when you click the join button and you don't have to wait 10 minutes for the server list to populate. Easy-Peasy. -
That means the server isn't being shut down correctly. That's what BI says... if you use Graceful Shutdown, they claim persistence won't be lost.

I had no idea we could customize our characters. I thought it was 100% random.

DZSALauncher is a great program. If someone wants to join a server that runs mods, they just have to click on the button to join and the mods are downloaded. It also doesn't take 10 minutes for the server list to populat! That's your game port. Your Steam port would be defined in your server config file.

Go to mpmissions\dayzOffline.chernarusplus\storage_68376\data\ and delete vehicles.bin.

Join a community that runs a server, They tend to be friendlier than the players on official servers. When you have players communicating with each other, say in a Discord server, they are more open to helping others and creating a server that people enjoy playing on instead of one where you have to worry about every player attacking you. BI has tracked the problem down to servers not shutting down correctly. See this post: If your server doesn't shut down properly or if it crashes, you may lose persistent items.

It's for these reasons I use DZSALauncher. You don't wait 10 minutes for the server browser to populate and it works so much better. -

Use DZSALauncher and set up your name in Settings. That way you won't be kicked off of the servers (I don't understand why they do that - it reduces their playerbase) and you won't have to wait 10 minutes for the server browser to load servers. -
I see these announcements that say stable servers go down for three hours every Wednesday morning. What exactly is done during these three hours and do community servers also go down?

I use both of those parameters and they work fine. You can't join via Steam without the mods set up and the mods download when using DZSALauncher. Maybe it's the mods you're trying to load. If they aren't signed properly by the author, you'll be kicked. Try one mod at a time and see what happens.

I think most people that were around for the A2 DayZ Mod are aware of the launcher, because Maca also had one for A2 (and A3). It's always been a great tool for those games. I think an effort to educate people about DZSALauncher is really the way to go. If they're using it, they can't join without the mod because the mod will download for them automatically. Maybe he could sell it to Bohemia and it can become standard for DayZ!

How is it not solved? If you use DZSALauncher, you don't need to subscribe to anything in the Workshop. When you join a server, you will automatically download the mods. There's no guessing, no telling people how to download a mod or how to join the server. It's easy-peasy.

I was just playing on my server when I noticed my stamina bar seems to be missing. I also noticed that prompts aren't showing up (ie: the prompt to pick up loot, climb a ladder, etc). Has anyone else had this happen and is there a fix? Restarting DayZ didn't fix it.

Yeah, I figured that out a little while ago. i didn't realize that pressing and holding that would hide the HUD.

If your server is properly configured, only players with the mods can join.

Use DZSALauncher. All mods on the server are automatically downloaded when you join. Problem solved.

I set the date to May 5th and with the mod, the darkness isn't pitch black. It looks good.

Try DZSALauncher. It's much better.
