There are no good GSP's. I had Villayer and GX for DayZ SA (and I've had many others for other games), and both of their tech support sucked. I ended up going with a VPS and manage it myself now.

Play on a server like mine, with Arctic Latitudes and set to a time of year when the nights are more of a twilight. I did that specifically because of the pitch dark nights. Also, life-hack: Use F12 to take a screenshot in-game 🙂 -
Yeah, I left Vilayer for GTX Gaming, then I got a VPS. Those server hosts are just crap.

Way to check for updates with an external script

I use OmegaManger. It updates all mods and the game itself automatically. -
I don't know. I stopped chopping the planks, ran back to my base, created a fire and warmed up. I didn't let it get to the point where I could have died.

I guess they mean THEIR SteamCMD isn't working. Worked fine for me. I rent a VPS and I use OmegaManager. I didn't even have to update the server. It autoupdates it for me. Is your server still running 1.01.150505?

There's no problem updating the server files with steamCMD. There shouldn't be an issue with Vilayer if they gave you access to run the SteamCMD before. I switched from server hosts to my own VPS because of issues like that.

I'm not sure if you can die from the cold, but my temp went blue and I was shivering while cutting wood in the rain with high winds.

You can use the paper as kindling to start a fire.

I'd guess a player desynced, disconnected, but their in-game character didn't despawn and kept moving in the direction he was walking when he disconnected.

I've had a base on my server for weeks, as have other players. Persistence works fine for us. -
I can't remember the last time I came across a radio in DayZ.

Yeah, I've seen the zombies attacking the sheep. They don't seem to do any damage though. I wonder if this is actually a bug though.

Download DZSALauncher at https://dayzsalauncher.com and join servers with that. You may be trying to join modified servers and DZSALauncher will automatically download what you need.

You should try out community servers... the people that run them are dedicated to the game and their server and won't take it down or wipe it without real thought.

I use CF Tools on my server and it has that feature.
