I guess I was confused because your question had nothing to do with what I had written.... I suggested that people use the mod that I linked to in order to have working locks on bases and then you responded with something that I couldn't quite put together.

The devs also indicated that it's not possible for them to program the DayZ launcher so that it loads mods before connecting to a server but yet DZSALauncher does that very thing... I think BI needs to hire some modders onto their staff to fix the problems they can't figure out themselves. @maca134 for Bohemia Interactive CEO!

I just did some testing and found that this mod, which provides you with a 6 digit alpha/numeric combination works after restart. No destruction needed: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1646187754. You'll need to be sure to add the code lock to the types.xml and remove the "combination lock". See the mod files for details.

On my test server, the night looks great with the Arctic Latitudes mod. This screenshot is from 11pm, using the date 18 April 2019: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1709984822 This is a screenshot from the exact same location, same time and date, but on my live server: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1709984636 Both servers run the same mods and there are no config differences between the two that should affect light. Does anyone have any idea why the Arctic Latitudes mod would produce light differently between my two servers?

I finally figured it out. I had turned on persistent time, which also saved the date, so even though I changed the date in the files, it wasn't using that date. Turned off persistent time, restarted server and it worked. Turned on persistent time again.

I'm pretty sure with the engine that DayZ is on, destructible environments isn't possible.

Always keep a vanilla copy of the server files somewhere so when a new version comes out, you can compare any files that were changed in case you made changes to those files already. Since 1.02's been out a few weeks and I already made the needed changes, I don't have any 1.01 files anymore.

Check the types.xml file. Using Notepad++, run a compare between the 1.02 version and the 1.01 version.

I read this post on reddit but it's closed so I can't reply: My question is about this line: weather.GetRain().Set( Math.RandomFloatInclusive(0.0, 0.2), 0, 0); If I change that line so that the 0,0, 0.2 is something larger, like 0.0, 0.7, does that mean that the intensity can change between those two values during the server session? I want the weather to change, ie: rain tapering off, clouds going away, etc during a session.

I updated my server to 1.02, but it didn't include a new types.xml. I would have thought it would have had a new one to include the new weapons/ammo. Does anyone have the classnames for the new items added in 1.02?

Yes. The darker image is my test server and the lighter image is my live server.

There are new maps in development. You can even play some of them on servers. The zombie numbers can be increased by server owners on private servers (as I have done) and as far as mechanics, well, that's rather broad, but there are mods that change the way the game is played (less rags, less meat, etc).

BI's response is that they can't duplicate the issue.... even though plenty of us have experienced it.
