Latest experimental has a fix for the shoes, so maybe they'll release that to stable at some point...

No one has a suggestion?

Battleye BEC getting no response on some servers 🤔
Uncle Zed replied to ICEMAN-FMCS's topic in Servers
OmegaManager uses Steam to install the game servers and to update the mods automatically. Since both require your Steam credentials, you need to put them in the config to get the files. -

What's wrong with Steam credentials? -
Battleye BEC getting no response on some servers 🤔

When I got my dedicated box, I started looking at BEC as I used it before, but then I found OmegaManager. It's free. It lets you deploy servers, add mods easily and it updates mods and the game automatically. There are automated messages and restarts and whitelisting. It even has a web interface. -
The 1.04 change log says the following: Added: Possibility to override any file from the Central Economy files in the mission folder AI territories are defined in the default Central Economy files (xml) and can be overridden in the mission (world AI addon and config territory definition has been deprecated) How do you define the central economy (spawning of loot?) and the AI territories now?
-
My servers don't have that file
-
Which XML file? In the past, we edited the types.xml but from the notes, I'm guessing that's not the case anymore. This part of the change log is way too vague.

If you want to remove specific zombie spawn locations, you need to edit the worlds_chernarus_ai.pbo, zombies territories file. Just delete or comment out the locations you don't want them to spawn at.

Persistent items such as vehicles, base parts, tents, all seem to have had an issue since 1.03. The best way to help fix this is to submit all logs from a server after this happens to the Feedback tracker. BI might already know about the issue though. They aren't too good with reporting what they're working on fixing.

I gave up Exile several years ago. The arrogance of the Exile community was too much for me. I even deleted all of my Arma 2 and Arma 3 modded scripts and files.
-
I don't bother storing anything. Everything I have is on my back.
-
There are vanilla community servers. I run two servers. One is modded and the other is 100% vanilla. Search for "Uncle Zed" in the server browser.
-
I suggest you google OmegaManager. That will let you deploy a server instance very easily. It will also add firewall rules. Any mods you use will autoupdate as will the server files themselves.
-
I don't experience this myself. Perhaps your CPU or GPU is overheating? Do you monitor the temps on your computer? Do you blow out the dust periodically? I don't run with other players so I can't speak on the skipping of others when playing with them, but with the infected I haven't had a problem.

A fireplace isn't a permanent item. It disappears quickly. You'd need a barrel or tent to safely store your items.
-
It's DayZ 1.03...cars disappear often in it. Also, there's no server with persistence turned off. That would be stupid because only your character would save.
-
Can anyone suggest what they feel is the best mod for increasing zombie spawns? Should not only increase the number of zombies, but add spawn locations. I've seen a few on the workshop, but it's hard to tell which is the best.

Where are all the Official servers Gone?
Uncle Zed replied to Fyrd Judge's topic in General Discussion
You shouldn't expect official servers to remain for any period of time. They are not maintained by a dedicated community and are there to showcase the game. If you're really addicted to official servers, why not just join another server? They're all connected to the hive. -
Congratulations on necroposting! 3 years! That's impressive! 🙂
-
That usually means that a mod has updated but the server doesn't have the new version.
-
The dev's announcements say they released 1.03.151650 but my servers updated to 1.03.151658. There's no release notes for that...
-
Looks like they fixed the announcement.
