Some people just don't seem to understand. We are not complaining about masks, we are complaining about PADAY masks(and maybe the Guy Fawkes one too). Not everyone enjoys clown masks with american flag on their (or someone's) faces in a serious survival game. What did they do for gameplay? Did adding a clown mask make the gameplay better?

You could always enter the server and go AFK. You'll dehydrate after some time.

From what I've heard, you only get killed if you were shot shortly before leaving or someone's trying to bind you. Really, we don't need combat loggers here.

Atually, if I were you, I'd buy it now. Why? Even if the bugs will scare you out, you'll still have the game. From what I know, the price will only get higher for a few years, so it would be wiser to even get the game now and play it after the patching than wait for patching and waste extra 20 dollars.

Only my graphic card and processor are a bit under minimal. Could've been worse.

I know this might sound a bit stupid, but what about changing the thread's normal icon ( a shack with a survivor nearby) to a Mountain Dew if Dean has posted in it? Would be really helpful for all these desperated stalkers who really want to know everything possible about the standalone. Also, sorry if the thread is in the wrong section.

i'd love any item that lets you find out the story of the person you just killed. Although, I'd still prefer it as an in-game only video, not steam one. Would be really amazing to murder a guy that's currently recording and then see this all from his perspective.

I'd do it, even though I didn't play DayZ yet. I'm waiting for SA, but in this time I saw many DayZ videos and played games similiar to it, so I'm some kind of advanced newbie-no idea about Arma II mechanics or controls, yet a lot of practical experience-I'm not the person who asks to team whenever he sees a survivor or hunts zombies for safety anymore. I'd like to erase it bebcause I won't have a fresh start-I'll know what to do from the first step.

So... As a kid I really enjoyed a game called "Captain Claw". One day I had to create account on some gaming site and I wanted to get nickname of KapitanPazur (polish translation of the game's name). It was busy, so I tried pazur. Taken too, so I decided to add the day of my birth-here's my nick name! Pazur is name of my RPG character. Pazur Rivian, that's the name. Nothing more, just the guy I use as my character in RPG.

Why would anyone need flag to say that he is friendly? From what I remember, they are goig to add surrender animation to SA.

Actually, with some changes this would be great. For example, not one week ban, but one hour. This would stop all the fresh spawns who attack everyone on sight because they have nothing to lose. Also, we could have hardcore (not simulation) servers and normal ones.

Want to know why this will never get added? Because player zombies might still teamwork. We would need something to force them to kill survivors (Other than "Ima hungry, let's eat survivar or I'll dai"). -,,Zombie, friendly!!"

Skills in DayZ? Horrible idea. You gain real skill over time, would do you like to get killed by a not skilled noob who just maxed fighting skills? Players are either skilled or skill-less. No need to script it.

Worth buying now? Definitelly no. I do not say DayZ is a bad game, but you can be patient and get Standalone soon, or buy game now and pay for it again later, when Standalone releases.
