Have you tried deleting and completely re-installing the game. I haven't had this happen but if it does this would be my first step.

I think you've run into a bug I reported this morning. It is not only ammo containers. I've lost weapons (357) and other items and in fact the items in my back pack are rearranged every time I log out and back in. I really hope that no one is offended by my anti Family Guy rant above. I love what Vector_bunny is doing! But these kids that he ran into on this video are idiots and I wanted to give them a hard time with my tirade. They even tapes bits post cliffhanger and posted them on youtube. I won't put them here because I don't want to spoil the ending of this episode. I seriously hate Family Guy thought, that show is shit. Unfortunately it's your CPU. I am almost 100% certain of this as most BIS games are very CPU heavy. It drives me crazy because I just installed two GTX 760s and run them in SLI but it is currently lost on DayZ. Rocket has stated that they will be offloading features of DayZ onto the GPU in future updates but those are WAY down the road as client side stuff is going to be done last. Sorry man, I know. I have an i7 overclocked to 4.09 and it's still not enough to do any better than you. Like I said I have two GTX 760s and run the game and os from an SSD. EDIT: I should note that just like GrimeyRick. I have tested this and my FPS is dramatically (like 50% more) due to my overclock which is 2.8 to 4.09. It's the same for me in ArmaIII

The only time I've died from a "glitch" is when I logged off of one server within a zombie spawn area. When I logged into another server, I was experiencing desync and a zombie killed me before I had a chance to sync up. I wouldn't really call that a glitch though. It was more like poor planning on my part. Shouldn't log out in unsafe locations. Also, you won't die from falling in the current build. You can jump off of anything and it won't kill you.

I'd like to add to Streets post by suggesting that people purchase and play another early access game, they are fairly cheap investments. I realized this week that every game I've been playing is early access: Kerbal, Project Zomboid, etc. So, I'm keeping up with the development of several games at the same time. And honestly, so far, DayZ's development team is blowing those out of the water. I guess that's why I'm so baffled by all the bitching.

I got a 10 FPS boost after the last patch. I'd say that's what they're doing. The issues that you are complaining about are being worked on. What don't you get about this?

No it's different. You reported body re-positioning upon log out / log in and I reported items disappearing and rearranging themselves within the back pack upon log out / log in.

You realize there is a bug tracker to report issues like this correct? In fact, it's been reported there twice this morning. Sorry but when you post things like this here it sounds like a rude command. There is a place to report bugs, do it there. No offense man. Just report it and post the link to the bug here so people can go upvote it :)

I reported an issue on the bug tracker where in the current version items disappear and or are rearranged within the hunter back pack when logging out and then logging back in. I didn't include this in my report but I've also noticed that my character moves a few feet after logging out and logging back in. You've just gotta be more careful when helping people. Most of the time when I help another player the scenario starts with me yelling, "Get on the fucking ground right now!!" in direct. If they comply, I am able to help them. If they don't, they die. That is the cruel world that is DayZ. You can't take chances even when playing the hero. To play the hero, you have to be in control of the situation. This means in control of everything. You have to have the drop on them first and foremost, you have to watch them from hiding for a while to see if they are truly alone. You have to wait until the setting is correct. Never stop someone on the coast or in the middle of a town. Get them while they are transferring between towns. Also, if you are in a military area, all bets are off, those areas are kill or be killed as far as I'm concerned. I usually get in and get out, but if I run into anyone at a military base I have to kill them. There are rare exceptions to all of these rules such as server pop. opponents kit appearance and so on. I'm usually much tenser on high pop servers. If I can clearly see that the person has nothing, I give them at least two extra seconds to comply or I may be more likely to approach them in a military area. It should be noted that all of my rules are helpful to bandits as well. The end result is the only difference. EDIT: OP I have to tell you that my first post on this forum was very similar to yours. Stick with it man, the path of the hero is tough but ultimately the funnest way to play the game. I still think that banditing is the easy way out.

Dead thread is dead. OP is just trying to up his post count at this point. It is obvious that the majority of the player base is completely fine with this change. I've been playing the experimental build for almost a week and have yet to be killed while logging out. No one has ghosted my character and I've killed people that tried to log out after I saw them. It works.

The tents were spawning way to much loot and encouraging server hopping. I hope they don't go back to the way they were.

I haven't lost a character to a patch yet. Aside from the security update done during the first week of alpha all of my characters have been fine.

Just enjoy god tier 2.0 It consists of a can of food and a screwdriver. Just kidding, I had an awesome time playing on a 50/50 experimental server last night. I really felt like I was fighting for survival. I was almost on the verge of starvation when I found a can of spaghetti. That allowed me to make it to a small far Western town that was amazingly untouched. It was really really fun.

Not on the experimental build you don't. I have yet to die from falling. My friend and I both tested it last night and neither of us were able to die from a fall of any height.

Exactly. I'm so tired of this complaint, but it pales in comparison to the complain that will come once vehicles are implemented. Then it will be "Oh god, there's NO parts, it took three hours to fix and then I died.... blah. blah. BLAH."
