How about instead of killing everyone you see you just stop giving people you don't know weapons? I would never give someone that I didn't absolutely trust a weapon. I'll heal them and give them food and anything else but I won't put a weapon in their hands.

Plus remember, VAC is on a delayed ban system. They log these infractions and do large sweeping bans when they reach a certain number of players. Rocket confirmed this a while back.

He stated something to the effect that of course players were the number one danger in the mod, but in SA they were going to work hard to make the zombies / environment the biggest danger. He's spoken a few times on the fact that they want to encourage team play in various ways. He has also acknowledged that player killing will always be an aspect of DayZ as it should be.

In american groceries at least, beans and variations of beans make up like half of the canned food isle. They are really nutritionally balanced and quite delicious if you asked me plus this: Beans beans the magical fruit. The more you eat the more you toot. I'm angry because I'm forced to read this drivel constantly. This would ruin DayZ. It's supposed to be hard. It's supposed to be you versus the elements. If you disagree: Go play a different game. There are literally hundreds of games that have the features you want. Or how about this, as opposed to pissing and moaning about the fact that you're not getting your way and how you want this that and the other to conform to your understanding of "good", try playing the game and accepting it for what it is.

I hate to see this happening. I personally think it was a bigger problem in the mod than hacking. I played on a server for a couple weeks at one point amassing gear and building a camp, only to realize that the "admin" and his friends had quarantined all of the good gear and wouldn't let anyone near it. I got my hands on a chopper once and they rolled the friggen' server back because they didn't think it was "safe" for non members to have choppers. That's when I found DIS gaming. Smith is great. I've already been kicked a few times after the message "John Doe would like to become admin" or some shit. Does anyone know what this is? I thought that the servers were all supposed to be official Valve servers. Do they just get random 15 year olds to admin on these things or what? EDIT: I understand that a lot of people dedicate their time and dollars to hosting servers. I want to sincerely thank all those that do it in a legitimate fashion.

There are a lot of great guides already. Here's my two cents: First: Water lots of it until your stomach says it's full. Pumps are shown on the map, you should head directly to the closest one after you spawn. Second: Food, do nothing but run inland after drinking and search for food. Run inland for at least ten minutes real world time. Do nothing but search for food and eat for the first two hours of play time. Each time your stomach empties, which is relatively quickly, eat more food. This will build up the larger reserve of "energy" which you can store a ton of. Once VERY well fed, do what you want and make sure to hit up fountains every 50 minutes of game time or so.

I'll start. Description: White Male - Orange Raincoat and Wolf Mask (I think) Location: Staroye There were only a couple of us on the server yet you and I both ended up in Staroye. I saw you before you saw me. You said "Whoa man whoa whoa, OK ax away." I then realized that my mic didn't work so I started typing in side chat. I asked if you needed anything and you said "Thank you but no." You explained that you were relieved that I offered. I backed away and after drinking from the pump, continued to watch you from the treeline for a while to make sure you didn't come after me. Anyway, I hope you're still kicking. I still don't know if my mic is working.

Small rock ring in woods near Polana.

Having fun exploring new areas. I like what they're doing with the north. Rock ring at Altar. I've found multiple smaller rock rings around the map.

I wear the gas mask for extra concealment while in the woods. It is earth toned and my characters face is white. It helps with camouflage a bit. Also, i read that it ads protection when being hit. Somebody tested all of the headgear a while back and the gas mask and bike helmet make it almost impossible for someone to knock you out with fists. Not sure, I definitely don't wear it to be seen as a bandit.

And a lot more than that. There is a full highway system and the train tracks have been extended from Berenzino all the way through the North to the West side of the map. There are some "starter" towns up there already and a few other hidden jewels. Once I got geared up I started exploring up there a lot.

I think a lot of people have DayZ confused with different games. It's not really a "social play time" scenario. I like chatting with my friends in teamspeak while we all do our separate things sometimes on separate servers. I feel like people are really missing out on that key terrifying aspect that makes this game great, being alone in that vast landscape with other players and zombies trying to do you harm while you try to stay alive. You haven't truly experienced this game until you strive out on your own into the world and survive.
