Came back to this game after several goes and it not clicking. Finally figured out how to make progress and successfully get gear without just legging it everywhere. I spent several hours today just working my way north and getting some reasonably decent gear, when I came across a town that was on fire... I was then teleported to somewhere near the shoreline with everyone else on the server, so I disconnected quickly so that I wasn't shot. The server was then restarted as I assume an admin had done that to get rid of the hacker. I rejoined 10mins later and appeared to be in the new spot that I was teleported too. As the game was loading I could hear someone on chat saying "get his gun" and just as my screen properly loads, I was shot.... I was probably alive for 1 second. I was so annoyed..... it's really off putting as I already struggle to be in the right mood to play this game anyway.

:) Yeah, I know that. I was playing the game last night. I don't think it is a Dayz specific problem which I am having as I get the same issue when I launch the standard launch file. i.e. Arma2/CO minus the Dayz target. It's just weird that it worked fine last night and how it doesn't... The port/firewall/antivirus changes I made this morning didn't help either. I've managed to get into servers this morning but it involves getting server IP address' from the web and connecting directly... which isn't ideal. From what i've read of other people having this problem then the next step would be a re-install. I'll wait to do that though as it takes ages and hopefully someone has a solution before I do that.

Hey, So i'm new to this game and mod. Last night I managed to get some time in playing, with no problem. This morning I can't see any servers..... I tried launching a none modded version of ARMA 2 and I still can't see any servers. Yes I did remove the filter. I've tried opening UDP Port 2302 - 2305 on my router and disabling windows firewall and that hasn't helped. I've also tried disabling my anti virus and that doesn't work either. Does anyone know what's going on? It doesn't specifically seem to be Dayz related. I updated Battleye and Arma 2 and OA yesterday as well. (1.11, 1.60) Just to add, I manually tried going to 74.91.119.196 as mentioned in http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=4616 and I can see those servers.
