Madcosbad. But seriously, I kill for the thrill, armed, unarmed, whatever, better you than me - even if you are 'friendly.'

VEHICLE UPDATE (database side): 2012-06-16
h0rs replied to Ander (DayZ)'s topic in Mod Announcements & Info
+1 for the map boundary suggestion, but leave the respawns as the way they are. I have a few vehicles and I think this is a good thing, its unfair to other players if you hide them off-grid. I've had vehicles stolen off me before, and I don't mind - it's all part of the game. So stop hiding shit off map, it's just cheap. -
Please sneak this in: https://dev-heaven.net/issues/33970

>95% fixed on Helicopter doesn't stop fuel leak!?
h0rs replied to james2464's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Have this problem too dude, fixed everything else up, hull refuses to go green no matter what parts I repair with scrap metal. http://i.imgur.com/fb2a7.jpg On a side note, any repairs I do seem to 'roll back' whenever the server is restarted, even if I've used the 'Save' option. Other vehicles, however, like cars and stuff repair fine =) -
Hoping to see this addressed https://dev-heaven.net/issues/33970 As well as new Helicopters spawning on every server!

Rocket - Improvised splints for broken legs?
h0rs replied to combatcomm1's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
At the current rate of which I'm seeing people's legs get broken I'm going to give the whole morphine as a temporary solution to broken legs a -1. There should be the implementation of a "DIY unlegbreaker" like has been mentioned, but no change needs to be made to morphine. If you wanted a harder permanent solution in the current state of the game, consider this first: If a health-based range (say below 5000-6000) made you prone (ha-ha) to having your legs broken by Zombies, and anything above that threshold you can only cause to yourself (fall damage), then I'd give it a +1. As it stands, a few mates of mine play with mil-grade weapons, health rarely below 10k (unless we're in an intense situation) and have suffered broken legs on many "first hits" received from Zombies, even though we are full or just shy of full health! -
Rocket, I've been unable to test your fix in 1.7.1.4, regarding repairing Hueys to 95% in order for the leak to stop. What's been hindering this is that repairs made to Helicopters (at least) do not persist through server restarts (regardless of whether I 'Save' the vehicle or not.) These restarts can take place hours after my repair work (which, with an auto-save system, should be enough time to commit the repairs I've made, no?) and upon restart, everything just goes back to orange/red (Even though I've repaired say the MROT and Engine of the Huey to green.) I'd love to test the whole leak fix for you, but making all the repairs at once only to lose them on a next restart is very hindering! Thanks. Edit: Here's the dev-heaven issue report link (https://dev-heaven.net/issues/33970)

Rocket, with the return of fixable choppers, will servers be spawning/respawning them or just the legacy 'left over' choppers will be the only ones available to repair? Edit: Sorry, this was just asked a few posts above, in a more vague sense.

Electric and Natural lighting's V 4.0
h0rs replied to scoffield77@gmail.com's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I support this too! This idea would be awesome, and would give those guys who complain about the darkness at night something to work towards. No rewards for doing it, just the satisfaction of knowing you (and a few others?) got a power station up and running. It should be hard, require lots of time and effort, just to fit in to the whole DayZ theme. I love how this game punishes you so much, but each time you get punished you learn a little bit more =) Adding things like this to the game only add to the 'awesomeness' of it, the more options survivors have, the more risks we take, the more trekking we do. Just thinking about it makes me giddy ^_^
