Uni , I'm not really talking about players in the late game . I'm talking about fresh spawn players who have nothing to lose , they have to make it so that ranged weapons are so much more powerful that melee combat is rendered useless and only for special occasions. This means that fresh spawns will not attempt to run up to a kitted out player and think that they'll knock him out in one hit.

It has to be very unreliable , so players think about what they're about to do, or we'll end up with the WarZ outcome , and nobody wants this beautiful game to turn into WarZ... As for ranged non-lethal weapons , they should have a large chance to work but be very rare and hard to find ammo for.

If they follow what you say we'll be left with hundreds of fresh spawns running around beating the shit out of each other with their flashlights , WarZ style...

This is what im on about , non lethal takedowns are essential , but the equipment required for them must be rare.

That would be overpowered , to run up to a player and hit him unconscious in one hit and then kill him , also , in real life , do you keep a tool on a tool-belt which allows you to hit people ? I think not... -[ARSE] Seb

Yeah , sorry guys but after patch 1.7.5.1 you can only blood bag someone once each ten minutes , to stop this kinda thing happening.

I guess you kinda gotta get used to that in dayz , i used to betray the people i met alot , once two guys saw me , really kitted out , they gave me stuff and i ran with them for about 1 hour , then when one was eating and the other was afk , 10 ak rounds in the face for them both , i then typed "gg" in the side channel to piss them off. You gotta try out the bandit life man , its sweet.

Its another thing about realism , although i think they should make it so that if you are driving at a certain speed they cant hit you , if its possible of course.

Unfortunately i cannot provide proof because fraps was not open at the time this happened. Me and some friends were on DE 867 at our base when we see a UAZ going down a hill and stopping at a high value barn , we had been on our current life for weeks and were VERY geared up , I had a AS50, M14 , Coyote Backpack , NVGs , Rangefinder ....etc . We are Bandits and we wanted the car , so when he got out i shot , 3 bullets connected with him perfectly , at which point he turns around (whilst getting shot by a AS50) and starts spraying with a M249 with a scope , in total i put 6 bullets into him and 3 into the UAZs motor with no reaction , there was no de-sync and earlier we had killed another player with one clean shot...This server has been our home for a very long time and we HATE hackers that hack like this , any suggestions? -Seb

Thats exactly what i do , never trust anyone you dont know in DayZ.

So its not just me , i really love the inventory system , its hard to get used to at the start but when you've got tens of hours gametime its the best inventory system ive ever used. It cant just be us though , the only people who dont like it are either noobs or genuinely havent got used to it for some reason...

I was playing on a private hive on the amazing Taviana map , armed with a glitchy , useless crowbar, i met two survivors , both extremely kitted out and both ghillied with high-tier weapons(one had a l85) and coyote backpacks .I ran with them for one and a half hours , offering them ammo , food etc and generally getting to know them well; building up trust. We explored some heli crash sites and care-packages , after a while , i was pretty geared up , a AK-107 and a pdw , i felt good about my chances and then i waited for an opportunity to strike. We stopped at a care package and one of them hat to go afk for a few minutes and the other started eating , then i took my chance , switched to burst and got 9 bullets in each of their heads before they could respond. After , i looted all their gear and hid their bodies. ALL of this was recorded and i will be uploading the vid shortly... That's how to be a bandit on dayz...
