    Positive thread...

    ... this forum needs one. Regardless of all the bugs, I like what Rocket is doing, and that he is testing things, it'll eventually make the game better after we see what is working and what is not. I had however hoped he would've made a beta of the alpha (lol), with say 5 servers for players to test who can't wait for the new patch, that way if a patch "fails" people can downgrade easily and play on the non beta-of-alpha servers and report bugs with the new patch. My feedback; so far 1.7.1.1 has been pretty good, and I've been managing, though it is a little too hard. To make it less hard but not too easy either, the following could be done: Right now you spawn with a flashlight, a bandage and painkillers: I think next to that a soda can could be added, so you can drink once but not refill (you'd have to find a waterbottle), and next to that a morphine in your backpack, because breaking your leg by accident in the beginning (e.g crawling through a door), is pretty messed up :P I think that should be a nice balance between the current patch, and the old one, so it's not too easy anymore but not too hard either. About extremely dark nights: I think (if possible) the moon could always be "on", so it's not too dark but not too light either. Let me know what you guys think, give some feedback, hopefully Rocket will read, cause I think he could use some real feedback right now.

    Converting magazines?

    What does this mean? I never seen this feature. Does this mean we can convert for example an M1911 magazine to a makarov magazine? If so how do we do this?

    All right, just a little update. We started trying USA servers and we're finding random USA server which have none of these issues at all, while EU is mostly laggy. These issues are definitely server sided, I'm guessing some hosts are overloading their servers or something.

    I have nothing running but steam, teamspeak and arma2 of course. There is nothing on my PC which could make me lag like this, I don't have a router and my firewall is accepting arma2, so I don't know.

    Well we tried lots of different servers but it's all the same everywhere.

I just started playing dayz a few days ago and me and my friend have some issues with lag: * Zombies sometimes run away from me, then go invisible and all of a sudden they're in front of me * Zombies lag out and even though they are far away from you they hit you * Zombies sometimes stop and start punching even though they're not near me (as if they were punching me) I see others player lagging, like they would walk or run into one direction and then all of a sudden they're somewhere else, or run backwards into walls and stuff. Is this normal because the mod is still in alpha or has this something to do with my pc or connection? I'm not the only one getting this, so does my friend. Specs: i7-2600k GTX 460 8GB ram 50mbit down 4mbit up
