But just tell me one thing about vanilla dayz, where do you store your loot? House system is most likely awesome in origins, one of the reasons I choose origins, but Dayz vanilla, I just don't see any point at gathering better loot, as if you store it in a tent, anyone can take it.

Hello. So I've been wondering, why a lot of players chose Dayz regular over Dayz Origins. I mean, just look, Dayz origins have houses, vehicle modding, other nice features, like salvation island, there are a lot more activities, and houses, are just a good way to store items, I mean, I haven't played dayz regular for long, but where do you all store your items, in Origins, you can build a house and keep them safe there, but Dayz, you can't have a house, so what's left? Tents? I don't know, if you could lead me to the point about saving loot, would be great. So yeah, Origins has a lot of nice features. Why would players chose vanilla dayz over that?

Good evening survivors. Tonight I got kinda simple question. Well, I've been playing on servers like 4 star day z or zombies go home, but I don't feel that these servers might be the dominant ones. Could anyone give me a tip on how to chose a server? I don't care if it gives any gear or anything, the only thing I care about is, stability and something that is rather close to 'global' or official server. For example people in trading topic don't even mention which server is the gear on. I am not sure if all the gear stays on all servers, but I've not experienced any of that, probably because I only played in 'private hives'. Could anyone tell me how to find or play on the servers everyone plays?

I wonder if dayz standalone gets optimized better as this is the only game that currently lags for me.

Yeah, but the most awkward seems, that high - low graphics wouldn't improve or reduce my fps, stays about the same or a couple of FPS higher when on low settings, not much improvement though, I will try this ramdisk method.

But my cpu isn't a problem for any other game and yeah, i dont have a slightest idea about my hdd, it's an old hdd, but works nicely, i'll try that virtual drive solution., see if that helps.

Hello, I finally installed my arma 2 free and arma 2 OA and made Dayz. However I am experiencing lag and the point is that it doesn't really help if i choose very low settings, a few fps adds, also, I noticed that when I run and I drag my screen up or down, it doesn't lag that much. My PC specs are not so old and I can run arma 2 free SP with atleast 60 fps on high settings. I don't know what's the problem with Dayz. Suggestions?? PC spec: GTX 550ti Gigabyte Intel i3-2100 3,1ghz 4gb ram 160 hdd ( not sure if this could be a problem, but I have read that sometimes hdd causes problems and etc)

Please, someone drop me a guide or something, I keep getting errors and if I don't get error, it kicks me from the servers.

Yeah, reinstalling everything and will use DZC. Should I update both A2free and OA before using DZC or will it update them itself?

Should I install OA and Arma 2 free into the same folder?

Hello players. So I finally decided to buy arma 2 for Dayz and I noticed that Arma 2 free and OA is enough, so even better, it cost me less than full arma 2 collection. So I found a couple of people statint that they're playing dayz with Arma 2 free like normal, but I have some issues. For example, whenever I get into a server from Play WithSIX launcher, my arma 2 is missing some files, for example dayz_anim or there is no entry to some grass objects. Can anyone make a short, understandable guide about colliding Arma 2 free and OA into fully working Dayz?

The point is, if I wanted to play arma 2, I could easily download it, but lately, I got really hooked on DayZ, after watching videos. Currently playing it on MTA, can't tell you how I want to play arma 2 Day Z =D I'm not a richass to allow me buying Arma 2 and then the standalone verion of a mod. I'll just wait for the standalone :) Thanks for you opinions.
