Ok I tried all of the guide, it made my game worse. I tried ramdisk won't work on my pc. Any other ideas? I know for fact the damn grass is causing the problem, when i look at grass i get 10fps when I look away from grassy area 40-50.

No problem, and I have done everything to the config files before, and I saw an fps increase, but as I said, It's all getting ruined by the grass, thanks I'll be sure to check out the optimisation guide. I will respond if I get something out of it or not.

I installed it, but I can't join servers? Says key not supported, delete these files (@grass) or get valid keys?

Thanks, but I have 1 .pbo and a pbo.gdt and a bikey or something? Will I put all of these in there?

The link is good but at the top Downloads / Arma 2 / Addons / Miscellaneous / GDT Mod Grass does this not mean that it's for arma 2? It says extract to arma 2/addons, but in oa it's arma 2 operation arrowhead/expansions/addons? Will this still work on Operation Arrowhead? I tried this once and my game didn't work.

But you can change fog to anything, I have changed it to 100 when it's normally locked at 500 using the config files? If thats what you mean by " same with how the Fog is set to a certain distance."

This is not mainly for dayz, more for arma 2 oa. I have been trying for 6 hours (no joke) now to find out how to disable grass, and the only way I ever done it was with hacks, and I don't want to use them. I used to get 50fps without the damn grass, and now that I have to stick with it, only 15fps. It's horrible, I have tried every addon i can find, I tried every config I can find, I tried every tweak, every system defrag etc, trying windows 8, I'm pretty damn sure I tried it all by now, my specs are bad, but can easily handle this game without grass. With grass, it does not feel like a game, you can't possibly have fun on a game like arma 2 or the mod dayz with 10-15fps, and not to forget the occasional freeze, when I turn a little to quickly near grass. It's annoying, I cannot get this game to be playable, the only way I can do it is disable grass, don't link me to the gdt grass mod or something along those lines, I tried all those fps helping add-ons. None of them did anything. At all. The only thing making a diffrence would be disabling grass, is there anyway to do this? Or atleast lessen grass quality and shading or movement or something along those lines? Nothing with AtoC i think it's called, mine is set to disabled. So I was hoping it would disable grass but apparently not. Any ideas?
