Does it look like i'll have better luck with the Standalone? I hear that the ArmA II game that DayZ is based of isn't exactly streamlined in the coding and that's what causes the main issues. So since the DayZ Dev Team have now got a new Engine for standalone, is it looking like I can play on that? I mean don't get me wrong I can play DayZ but the sudden drops in FPS are annoying as hell.

Hey guys I bought my first gaming rig before christmas, It was pre-built and cost a fair £440. The Specs are: 500GB SATA II HDD 6GB DDR3 RAM AMD A6-3500 APU with Radeon HD Graphics 2.10GHz (Tri-Core) Windows 7 64-bit (HPE) Now I can play Skyrim in Ultra Settings with little to no lag, then try to play other games like Borderlands 2 and I gotta tone down the settings abit to play smoothly. But with DayZ I'm running at 20 FPS in fields untill i look at trees or run through a forest then am down to anything around 7 to 10FPS, I go up to about 16 in cities and kicker! If I look up at the sky it's straight up to 60FPS. Does anyone know anything I can do to increase this? I'm running most settings on Normal at the moment because the FPS drops don't seem to be as bad as on high, but the poor quality of the graphics is stafrting to bug me. I've changed the ArmA II folder in Documents for the GPU's to be at 1. Is there anything else I can do to increase the FPS? Thanks in advance people. Ki

Hey guys & gals, first off thanks for reading and secondly sorry for my first post being about this. Okay so I bought the game a few days ago and i'm really enjoying it, I went straight into a server and died like 6 times in a row without getting more then say 30ft from where i spawned? So I decided to do the private hive off of a localhost to get used to the controls and the map. Now this is where it gets interesting, So I convinced a friend to buy the game because I was having a blast and playing solo was boring (for me atleast). I got my friend on my private hive, he's bitching because Gear was on "I", in a blank moment, between looking out for zombies and him talking to me, I spaced out and said "ofcourse it's "i". I press the button to find out it's not, infact it brings up a list of players on the server at the time and there score which was cool. So it flashes on then off when i take my finger off the button, I noticed something just then, there's a 3rd player on my private hive. So I'm like wtf? I asked if my friend invited him in to which i got a firm "no". So i try talking to this dude, no reply. I Alt +Tab out of the game and start checking the server records for logins. Only me and my friend logged in, yet clear as day here's the 3rd player. So i googled his ass, his name is "George Smith" Spelt exactly like that. I've got some people saying he's a hacker and others saying he's a "Ghost in the machine" like the so called "Herobrine" from Minecraft. So questions are: 1) Is this a real person? 2) How do I block this fucktard from getting back in? 3) How the hell did he get in, in the first place? If anyone can shed some light on this dude then i'd be eternally greatful, I was enjoying playing coop with my friend but this dude can join whenever he wants, I don't know how to block him as he's not appearing on any of the server logs and this Battleye did shit all to get rid of him. Thanks in advance for you help people, I appreciate it. P.S I've bought FRAPs so I can cap his ass should he rejoin again.

Hey I'm also looking for some mature people to play with. I'm 25 from the UK only been playing a few days and I'm not that great at the game, but I do have a Mumble server and a Private Hive for PVE gameplay (I use it to learn more about the game rather then play online being a noob).
