So whilst playing on a Taviana server I decided to go on a bit of Reasonable banditry... Yesterday a few people were flying a little-bird ( Heli ) and me and my friend sat and cautiously watched with an M107. We asked them if they'd seen a Heli or a boat because we wanted to go to the High value oil rig loot in the north-east and they said "No, we haven't seen any!" a likely story indeed! So it wasn't 'till roughly an hour after then when we had a genius plan! Find a plane, fly low and slow and bail over the oil rig...so taking only a double-barrel shotgun and basic medical supplies to negate loss if we died and also to have something to defend ourselves with, we set off and found a plane. On our fly over we discovered that the players had a base on the island just before the rigs with ALL the Heli's and boats that had spawned on the map, but not the planes. ( Not enough space to land 'em ) So we decided to bail over there instead! Our plan to destory/move ALL the vehicles there to strand them and also to eat/waste all their food and ammo for "Teh Lulz". As you can assume...this did not go to plan. We were lining up on the island when it appeared it wasn't where I thought it was ( We passed to get a good line up and having nothing to navigate it I missed it by a few hundred metres ) so we ended up being lost over sea, with little fuel and then...THEN " SERVER RESTART IN 60 SECONDS" We both panicked not sure what to do and bailed at mach 3 into the ocean. Upon re-joining moments later, we discovered the plane exploded and we were now in the ocean...with a 3800M swim to the island...My friend logged in rage and I decided "Balls to it! LETS GO OCEAN!" and so I spent the next hour and twenty minutes swimming to their base. I was cold, wet, hungry, thirsty and low on blood when I touched the shore later and after reaching the well defended compound ( with sandbags littering the gates making it a pain to open them ) I nearly died to a single zombie, before I managed to get in the door gunner of a chopper. After securing the area, I looted their choppers, and destroyed all but one...destroyed the boat on the island and then ate/wasted ALL their food/water and took ALL of their weapons/ammo/equipment and then took off in the chopper. After this, my friend logged back on ( This took roughly 4 hours to achieve ) and I picked him up in the chopper and we set off to make a camp on an island in the other corner of the map. Where we left for the day. So this morning I tried to log on and low and behold...I've been banned from the server. :) Well, that's my story...so now my bandit chums...what are yours? :D

Before I start this isn't a request to be unbanned, I've already contacted Battleye support and am waiting for a reply ( Although it's been nearly 24 hours ) and before any one decides to chuck around "Lolhaxzor"...No, no, I am not. Your comment will be ignored, so please only post if you are trying to help. I've been playing DayZ for a month now with a Steam Purchased copy of Arma 2 and Operation Arrowhead, along with several other DLC's. I'd been fine up to a few days ago when I first got a "CD Key in use" message. I quit, checked the local files of Arma 2 and the add-on and got it working again. yesterday I logged onto a server and was greeted with: "Global Ban: e204fb". I tried googling it and nothing came up, I tried verifying my files and still nothing. I tried several servers and it's appears to be across the board. My first concern was being a victim of a hack of some sort, but I haven't downloaded anything outside of DayZ commander and none of the servers that I play on are particularly high-population. I'm not sure what the ban is for because there is literally nothing I could find through google, but I'd appreciate it if anyone has any specifics on it? Cheers for any help.

I see, well...I'm not sure why that's been given then considering I've hardly played ( Steam time clocks in at 100 hours all time... ). Well, thanks for clearing it up, I'm certain I haven't cheated and have no intentions to, so I'll wait and see what reply I get from BE and if needs be I'll purchase a new copy of the game! Woops, I clicked the report on your post by accident O_o What I meant to do was quote and ask "What would cause this to come up?" So there's no way of telling what kind of ban was given out by the ID code or the GUID code? In my google fu a few people have listed specific codes as bans for specific things, I was just concerned because this ID had no information on google. I also noticed in the stickies on this forum I wasn't meant to ask about global bans here, sorry!

After talking to the admin of the server it appears he banned me for "Hacks" because no one should have been able to get there and destroy everything...when I told him I swam for over an hour to get there he went quiet for a bit and then unbanned me and asked me not to take anymore of his stuff in return for a helicopter :')

All sorted, although Mr.Saber couldn't get onto the server due to high ping and my handy side-kick returned, he went out of his way to download a map and give help! Top guy! :)

Well, after a session last night I felt kind of aggravated and decided to post here, because reasons. I'm currently playing on a Private Hive and most of the guys are pretty friendly, so I don't mind being the resident medic for that server - I've patched up a fair few people and ran quite a few miles to save people in pretty stupid situations. As always, there are those times when a bandit takes advantage of this. My one rule for running as a medic is to literally carry only the gear needed to fix the guy up and to get there. If someone says they have a broken leg, I'll take one dose of morphine and a water bottle maybe some food. I'll drink and eat before I reach them and then go and fix them up with morphine. ( I might be carrying a hatchet if there are zombies about ) A few times now, I've got shot as soon as the guys patched up and good to go and they have the cheek to type "WTF?!" in side-chat at my lack of loot. ( Even though I tell them I'm carrying only the kit needed to patch them up ) Even so, I'll still go out of my way to medic anyone who needs help on the server, I'm just surprised people will shoot me after patching them up for, at best, a hatchet and at worst, nothing. So, my dear medical chums, what tales of woe and dread do you have? :)

Ah, yes...I also got my characters head stuck in the wall at the NWAF yesterday, whilst trying to enter the doorway to the ATC. That was an interesting 5 minutes.

If we didn't panic and run, we would have guarded your corpse for you - but seeing you go down that quick...and not knowing how many or what direction they were coming from...Also an interesting time in the AC Tower...Hatchet, hatchet, MACHINEGUN SPRAAAAAY :') OT: I think...3 Days, I know right?! But in that time I don't think I've taken damage or broken a bone. Our group is careful. VERY careful!

Yeah, I think the server tends to max at about 20 people? Though honestly, we're so careful we could still probably manage to clear the important parts of the airfield just using those. We done Stary again last night using just the hatchet, in a low pop server there's really no point carrying anything other than perhaps a Glock and if anyone does see you, you, might get off without being shot for only having a hatchet! :') (We have an M4 CCO and M16 at our camp with roughly 30 mags and enough Glock ammo to keep us going for a fair old time if we keep ourselves going at this pace. )

A hatchet and an AK are really all you need. I was playing for about 13 hours with a friend yesterday and we managed to go from new spawns, to the NWAF ( North-west-airfield ) with just that. We picked up some decent kit on the way there too. We looted a few of the big cities, cleared a few supermarkets and hid ourselves away before logging out. All without me firing a shot from an weapon and my friends hatchet. Sneaky > Gun-ho
