See this is right spring/hammer/selector switch knob is all on the lower having nothing to do with trigger pull. The springs in the lower are the only thing having to do with trigger pull.

Or even better yet, we get AM/FM Solar Powered/Hand Crank/Battery radio station that broadcasts repeated messages talking about the bases and what happened at them, kinda giving Chernarus a back story to the whole thing.

Around 9/10 of your post is about KOS also, KOS isn't the problem, there is law law, there is nothing that can punish people (in-game) and there shouldn't be. How do you know someone will go crazy if they kill a lot of people? Have you seen The Pacific (based on real story(ies) a lot of soldiers kiled a lot of Japs, and did not go crazy, it depends on the person not everyone would trip the fuck out. Maybe if they went to court they would be deemed that. -

Honestly I agree with OP, BUT (here it comes) I do have multiple firearms, ALL of which are for hunting, I do not have an Armalite-15 (Civilian version of M-4) but I do have the 10 variant (.308 Winchester/7.62x51 (would also love to see it in game) and after firing I do not lose hearing. HOWEVER after firing rounds in heavy succession my ears do start to ring (much like in ACE) and earplugs work, but they also make it hard to hear ANYTHING.

Maybe I'm slow but a sling would still take the place up on your back, a sling doesn't make the gun just dissapear, where would you put the second gun if the gun on the sling was still on your back? I say we keep slings and make it to where I can fit an m4 into a mountain backpack, (I can fit a fireaxe but not an m4 that is smaller?)

Oh it is there I have seen it, sometimes I join and PVP just because they are trying to do something that should not be legally applied on the Public hive.
