I know right? I have no idea what else to try.

Might be worth noting that its only in Dayz, Arma multiplayer works completely fine. No issues in any other games either.

So for that past 1-2 months I've been experiencing gamebreaking lag. Until today I thought it was a compatibility problem with windows 8, since it seemed to start right after I updated. But now I've noticed my ping is shooting sky high in game (2500ish). This has nothing to do with my internet. I have 50 mbps down, 5 up. I've reinstalled everything, made sure everything is updated (the problem has persisted thru multiple patches), forwarded ports, taken my firewall down, tested multiple servers, run everything in multiple different windows compatibility modes, tried using different launchers (Dayzcommander, play with six, manual thru ARMA), updated graphics drivers. I'm at a complete loss as to what else to do. If any other information is needed feel free to ask and thanks in advance for any help :)

HDD shouldn't be the issue either, I built this comp myself like 7 months ago. Never had any problems with it.

Just tried playing Dayz again today after a long break, and it seems there was some issue with the latest patch. Never had a problem before, but now i'm have this constant stuttering lag, and it's really bad when I try to move. Everything lags as well, zombies, other players. Tried 5 different servers, same thing on all of them. As you can seem from my comp specs below, my computer is not/should not be the issue. Intel Core i7 2600k @3.4GHz 16GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti 50 mbps internet connection The only thing I can think of that is different is that i'm running Windows 8 now. Edit: And i can't believe i spelt few as view in the topic title. Doh /facepalm.
