So, I was doing OK. I had my Jeep, lots of food and water, and I had a sh*t load of medical supplies. I found 3 boxes of medical supplies at heli crashes. So I was running out of fuel. These two brothers said they needed blood and they could trade fuel. So we decided to meet up, and I was skeptical since I didnt know what these guys had. I was waiting at the meating point and we already established that I would leave 5 blood bags on the ground, and they would drop the Jerry Can on the ground. But it didnt go down how we wanted. Zeds came from everywhere and my AK just attracted more. So these guys pull up in their truck, one gets out and helps shooting the zeds since he has a silenced M4, and he tells me not to shoot because it attracts too many zeds. While I was spotting zeds coming from behind and the guy was shooting, the one guy in th truck was running over zombies and accidently ran over and killed his brother. So he gets out of the truck and takes his brothers place. After a good 30 minutes we see sooo many dead zeds. I quickly skimmed over and estimated 90+ dead and a few alive. We refuel my car, drive in the forest and make our trade. Then we head our seperate ways. Very fun time.

I think your days should be much longer and more detailed. I.E. "There were storm clouds approaching, we were out of fuel, and my team members decided to jump into the trecharus abyss full of hurtling waves." Also, who are you and who are your "Team members" are they apart of your squad? What are their names? How many are there? More Detail!!

How can I make a good, hard to find base? I have to get off of the game from 1-2 weeks at a time and I hate losing my car with a lot in it. If I get a camping tent and have my car, is their any really good hiding places other than going to the edge of the map? Also, last time I had a tent, I set it up and I couldnt take it down. Is it just like a one time use thingy?

Thanks. Some useful stuff. And i personally carry my best stuff. I play a less populated server which should help too. I like he idea to put distractions with decent stuff so people dont look for the base. Ill do that and do the map thingy.

I've considered it a lot. Just yesterday, I was playing and these 2 guys needed blood and I had 6 blood bags so I went to help. I met up with them, the only interesting thing I had was my AK with a few mags. So, we met up, we got into some trouble, we killed atleast 100+ zed and one of the people I met up with was killed during the process. So it was me and this guy with his silenced M4, NVGs, and lot of good stuff. I wanted to shoot him and take his stuff, but I thought, why? I couldve gotten so much stuff. In most cases, Im sure people in my spot wouldve shot him. So, the answer to you question is that it is TEMPTING.

I use to hate the dark, but then I just tried it and realised it wasnt that bad. Its a lot harder for zombies to see you too. I didnt even have NVGs. A flashlight and car head lights are enough. But thats just my opinion. And honestly, I would not like a quickened time system. I play this game because it's realistic, and I want to keep it that way. I like the feeling I get because I think, "What would I do in real life",.

Following my previous post above ^^^, this happened about 2 minutes ago. Well I was driving away from NWAF for like 30 minutes then hit a tree, destroyed a tire, and was almost out of fuel. I didnt want to lose my stuff. So I thought, I find a car and move stuff from the Jeep to a new car, or I find fuel and a wheel. After searching for maybe an hour, I saw a crashed Plane. Having nothing I needed, I decided to check it out. Beleive it or not, I found fuel and a wheel. But I used a lot of ammo getting it. Had to kill a good 20 zombies or so. So I headed back to my car, all happy, and I was crawling up to my car to avoid detection, and a zombie came from behind, hit me, made me unconcious, and I bled out. I only had a little blood left because I ran into some trouble with zombies on the way. I went all that way to be killed by one single zombie. So much work and scavenging and a bit of luck. But I had fun the 6 hours or so it lasted.

So basically, im doing awsome. I have an AKM, AK 47, mp5, lee enfield, and m1911, all with lots of ammo, 18 pieces of cooked meat, water, medical supplies. Basically everything. Obviously I have a car for carrying all of the stuff. So, if Im driving around and lose connection in the car, would the car disappear when i log back in? If so id lose everything.

Just got screwed again. So I found a perfectly repaired jeep so was happy. Then, I decided to go loot NWAF. After looting NWAF and places along the way there, I ended up with an AKM, no ammo, Remington 870 with 16 shots, M4A1 with 3 mags, AK 47 with 6 mags, Lee enfield with 2 mags, M1911 with 1 mag, 18 peices of cooked meat, 2 water bottles, and some other random stuff. So I was pretty excited. Their was a server restart, so when I logged back in, I decided to loot NWAF again. I parked my Jeep in one of the green buildings, so it wasnt completely seen (There was only 1 other player in the server, so I wasnt scared of it being found), I get seen sneaking into the fire station, and I decide to fight since I have my M1911 with 1 mag and AK 47 with 6 mags. So one by one zombies poor in. Before I fought all of them, I looked at the box and saw I had killed 13 zombies. After a couple minutes, they stop coming in and I see I now killed 36 zombies, I was out of M1911 ammo now too. So I loot a pile of stuff on I think the second floor, and a zombie comes up, alone, and I panic, run, and if anyones noticed, in the fire stations, if you are on the 2nd floor you can glitch through the wall onto a ladder, and thats what I did. I ran over to the ladder to get down to ground level to get to my jeep. I was in 1st person and the option to climb down the ladder wouldnt show up so I moved to far over and fell of the building and bled out. I was so mad. So then I decide to run back to NWAF for my jeep. When I saw some of the towers surrounding NWAF, the only other player in the server asked where I was (We talked a little bit before, and told him that I lost my Jeep full of guns, but I was smart enough not to tell him where it was), so I told him right outside NWAF. He then replied that he found my Jeep. I asked if I could have it back, and he said yes, but He would take some of the loot in it. I was upset, but thought, well its better than nothing. To be smart, I told him to stay back while I got the Jeep. When I saw the Jeep, I approached it, looked around, and didnt see it. I obviously didnt check its inventory right then, fearing an ambush. So I drove a little ways, about 1 minute or so, got out and checked the inventory. I was shocked. All he took was a box of painkillers and 6 peices of meat, So I got back in, drove for another minute or so, got out to re fuel the Jeep, and when I went to get in, I saw the guy running at me. He was only about 50 yards away. So I got in, and drove for 30 minutes. I was scared since I thought he would follow my dust trail. So I typed to him, "Are you still there" he replied "yes". So I asked him if we were ok and if he was following me, anf he didnt respond. So I drove faster for another 15 minutes, and logged out in the woods because of a server restart. This just happened minutes ago.

So, what is the weirdest/scariest/random thing that happened to you in real life while playing DayZ? Mine was actually just 15 minutes ago. I was laying on my bed playing DayZ. I was right outside a town about to go in when I saw a few zombies and felt an itch on my nose. So I pick up my right arm to itch, and right after I pick my right arm up, I see a stink bug crawling close to where it was. I just got shocked when I saw it (Because of being paranoid of zombies) and I did a really weird shake/jump, and fell straight off my bed. Then I got up, saw it was crawling toward my blanket (Dont wanna sleep with the little guy tonight), ran out and got a tissue and down the toilet he went. I know its sad a bug scared the crap out of me, but I laughed afterward.

Ok thanks. I feel better now. The server play on is barely populated.

Ya, I thought so too, but actually I just logged off of that server (Because A chopper was shooting at me and I had good stuff) and I talked to the owner and he said it was funny to him and the others.

So me and my friend were randomly driving around and headed into the woods with our car. After 2 or so hours of driving, we saw a couple ATV's just out in the woods. We looked around more and saw 6 choppers, a plan, 2 big trucks, and a car. We looked around in the vehicles, found a few medical things, nothing big. So my friend, he decided to try and fly a chopper because he didnt know how to (Nor did I). He then crashed the chopper, somehow survived, and blew up like half of the vehicles. I though, what an idiot. So then I was going to one of the trucks and when I searched it, it had a DMR, M240, MK 48 (I think it was 48, I took this gun) Ghille suits, you name it, it was their. So I had 400 rounds for my MK. I told my friend to get over here, so when he didnt I told him "Get the F*** over here and loot this truck. So when he finished looting, someone yelled at us to drop our weapons and walk away. They said we were surrounded. So I bolted for the drivers seat of the truck and my friend got in the passenger seat. I drove us away and we didnt get fired at. After like 10 minutes of driving, The administrator of the server told us it was his stuff and we had to return it or die. Obviously I kept driving cause I was so excited. I stole all of the admins guns! We were debating wether to blow up the truck, hide it, or just ditch. So maybe another 15 minutes driving, I stop for a second to type and then bullets rain down on us. Immediately I got out and ran into the woods, which was only about 50m away. My friend, he got in the drivers seat, started driving and then I saw the chopper blow him sky high. Luckily, I was hidden well with my ghille. But I was lost, with no map, or vehicle. So I walk for maybe 2 minutes, find a barn and go inside. I got some food but nothing good. I also had to shoot a few zombies, but I had loads of ammo so it was ok. I then walk out of the barn, and a sniper is shooting at me and I dont know where he is. I run in the barn and decide to run out the other door. When Im running up a hill right outside I get shot at again and the sniper kills me. So, when I respawn the admin told me he doesnt care about the whole situation, he just didnt want people to have all those guns. So, I start talking to the guy that killed me and he said I ran straight at him up the hill and was meters away from him. He then asks why we didnt fly away in a chopper to escape and I tell him we didnt know how to fly. So he brings me a chopper and teaches me how to fly! But I then crash and die. He again brings me a chopper, I crash again. This time I live though, and he brings me another one. I lived this time. So basically we fought, got sniped meters away without seeing him, and then he gave me flying lessons.

Hello, . I don't know why, but the game is not letting me pick up items. My inventory isn't even full. I tried dropping a few thing and tried to pick them up again, but I could even pick them up again! Is it just glitching? Please help!

What kind of michrophone do I need to use direct chat in game? Are they expensive? Thanks in advance.

I have an Xbox 360 Mic and a walkie talkie Mic, will they work? And I don't have money to throw around. Im a teen and work on a farm in the summer so I like to keep it cheap.

I could go down for some pole playing on dayZ! Unfortunately I can only play DayZ about every other weekend (Next time I play will be Jan 25), but if I can still join it would be great.

Im, new and I was wondering how I can use the voice chat so I can talk to other players so they dont always shoot me? Is it complicated to do?

I really wanna play this game, but I have Hughes Net as my internet provider. Their internet is very bad so I'm not sure if it would be able to connect to the servers. Does anyone know?

Thanks, but another downside is that I only get 800 Megabytes per day, so that means I will have to figure out how much megabytes it takes up. Does anyone have Hughes net?
