Many people most likely bought it to get it before the price rises. That's essentially what I did, but I played it and loved it. Discarding the fact that I will sometimes will be minding my own business and I'll receive a black screen that sais "You are Dead". Which happens every time I play. But I'm sure it'll be fixed in time.

I won't be able to get on steam and get SA till Friday and curiosity is killing me. How much does the game cost and how big of a download is it? My computer is slow at downloading. It took two and a half days to download both Arma games, which was about 12 GB. So I'm hoping it isn't too big of a download.

Internet I am on is very slow and searching takes a few minutes to come up with search results, so it was faster coming here since I have this website bookmarked. It's weird, but this is faster. It took me about 2 minutes to get to this point, and searching something would've took longer. Thank you to the people who answered my question, and didn't criticize.

Rocket said most should not buy SA right away because it will be chaotic. The next time I'll be able to do any playing is Friday. Should I buy the SA then, or wait longer?

Alright. I may just buy it and wait to play it to save money. Or I'll just play it and deal with the bugs.

The mod will also familiarize you with the game (Unless you've ever played Arma). Even with SA, I don't think it will be as populated as the original mod at first due to all the bugs. I also heard in the SA alpha they won't have vehicles at first for a while? I don't know if that's true or not.

Honestly, get the mod. Tons of people play it. It will also get you ready for the standalone. I've seen others ask this same question like 8 months ago. So you never know what'll happen.

Here's a funny story. I was hunting this bandit, and he was flying really low and fast in a chinook above NWAF. I lined my DMR up with the heli, but wasn't sure if I should get closer or not, so I started shit talking the guy, he got so distracted typing and raging at me he crashed his heli into the woods, died, and left the server.

Why is everyone spazzing out on him for saying thank you? I've been given plenty of hours of enjoyment, and in my stressful life, I am very thankful to get away in the game!! Wayze obviously didn't just say this to get access to the game.

I say "[Enter players name here or if there are no nametags, say person at wherever you are] are you friendly?" If they say no or don't respond, shoot them in the leg, and cripple them, or kill them. Just don't let them turn around and shoot you. If they say yes...Then if you feel like you can trust him, then introduce yourself, and hope they don't shoot.

Well, Im sad. Ive worked a long time and eventually got a chinook full of 25 guns and so much crap on the overwatch server I play on. The problem is, Im not gonna be on for almost 2 weeks. I know after a week the helicopter will dissapear. But is there anyway possible to make it so the chinook will stay for 2 weeks? Or is there anyway for me to be able to save all my guns and supplies? If I put it all in tents, will the tents stay for 2 weeks? Thanks. CPP

You know what, so many people talk about KoS being everywhere. Ive been killed on sight twice in almost 2 years of playing. I just never see a lot of it.

Alright thanks. I couldnt talk to an admin in time so I just pressed save on all my vehicles and tents.

But wont the chinooks and tents be deleted because of unuse for so long?

Yes, but will the tents be deleted after a certain amount of time?

Hello. Well my usual Overwatch server I play on has been fine, but when I went to play a couple hours ago, I continuously get stuck at a screen that sais Initializing DayZMod. After waiting 5 minutes, nothing happened and the only way to get off the screen was to turn off and on my computer. Ive tried this several times, waiting at the most 20 minutes. I thought, maybe I had to update regular DayZ, so I did, but that didnt work. Please help! CPP

control, alt, delete got me of the screen, but Im still stuck at the screen saying "Loading and initializing DayZMod"

I didnt try alt delete, I will try it. But that still doesnt solve the issue of getting in the game. Ill also try verifying it or whatever.

Well here is my problem. I didnt play DayZ in a few weeks and my server got a new IP Adress and I need to get on to help out the other admins. I copied the new IP Adress and put in it my favorites but whenever I try to join it I get stuck at the wait for host screen. Ive tried joining atleast 50 times by now. But I can go to all the servers and can join any other server but mine. This has happened to me before with our old IP Adress. In the past all I had to do was refresh the server a few times and it worked but now thats not working. Any ideas? Thanks, CPP

DayZ Commander? Or the server? I usually dont mess with the server and stuff. I let the owners deal with that.

As an admin, I always gotta watch for the damn hackers, So I was just looking around the admin map when I saw someone move from cherno to balota in a split second, I figured it could just be laggy so I teleported to balota and he was on top of the comms building. Then I saw a zombie standing right next to him, not attacking. I figured he had god mode on. So I shot a few shots around him, and sure enough he teleports 200 meters away and just runs away from there. I tell the other admins and they spectate him, but he doesn't cheat. I even set a trap, I put a URAL with a few broken wheels in the road where he will encounter it. If he was a hacker, he would just heal it, but, he doesn't. He repairs it with a wheel. I was disappointed.....But I kept watching. Then he made his mistake. He died so I teleported 100m away and watched him. Then he disappears and I find him just outside NWAF. So we kick him and his partner. But then everyone is just teleported and every vehicle just falls down and blows up. And it was just me and one other admin on so we had to scramble fast to fix this, since people were dieing and weren't listening to us/...But we eventually shut down the server, restarted it and just everyone was freaking out. One guy said "I want my heli back" just so many times it pissed me off. But we got everyone a good amount of their stuff back... So my question, if this happened to you, would you leave the server for good? I know it would piss me off.
