Pffft, I wish my server was dark, It's a EU server and it is daytime now, on the server. I have played on it on different times through the day IRL and it is never dark.

I think the Patches have problems retroactively fixing characters created before the patch went LIVE. My character was created Pre-patch and I had trouble doing things, but my friends was created Post-patch and he had no problems.

Ok after about 6-7 hours of walking around with a friggin blurry screen, I was at my witts end. So, having exhasted all methods to fix my character food, drink, rest and foot massage(don't ask) I went into the settings and started to play around. Tried all sorts, but nothing was working until, I moved the rotation blur slider. Instantly the blurry screen was gone, even moving the slider back to the original position the blurry effect wouldn't return. So, my theory as to why the blurry screen doesn't go away. When you take damage from an incoming attack, the game makes your screen blurry for a second to imitate shock, but it never recovers from this state and so the endless screen of a drunken night out under the influence of massive drink and drugs(never do drugs, kids) begins. Anyway, I hope this fixes it for the rest of you guys.

Well apart from the whole lag you might of had or your terrible aim >.O I have put people down with only a few bullets from my M4, but like Jcrose said, let me hit you with a fire axe IRL and see how well you are, even with wearing amour. The whole he only hit you in the foot and you died, is probably because our characters have a few hitboxes. Just a guess, but might explain it.

I have been playing for about 4 hours, I have been eating and drinking a lot, had some vitimins, rested regularly for about 10-15 mins every so often, while I have been traveling up north and still my screen is just as blurry as it was when I sustained my injury. Oh and I have even had painkillers. So either blood is regenerating very very veeeeeeeeeeery slowly, or it's borked.

Probably because people don't know. I would imagin there's a cap for health, blood and energy and they are what is in the DayzDB, just a guess, but it seems logical. Don't think Dean wants people turning into super beings with 10000+ health

Found a few, last one I seen was in Pavlovo. It was in a house with buchshots all around it o.O Not that I am looking for one, I have an M4 with 3 mags and a pistol with 2 mags and plenty of ammo.

Oh and I forgot to add this. Some KOS happen, because the guy/killer is sick of dealing with idiots. Like last night, a guy took a few shots at me and missed I got myself in a good spot and waited him out, he came looking and got a face full on M4, but not before hitting me once with his Mosin. Or like a guy I bumped into this morning, I saw him, warned him to stay away. He kept on getting closer with an axe in hand, I warned him again and fired a warning shot, he still got closer. At which point, I put him down and then had to listen to him scream like a child in chat. Another guy later that morning tried sneaking up on me, I spotted him, warned him, but he never responded once in chat, I warned him again, telling him, I saw that he was trying to flank me. He still never answered, so I shot him in the leg and left him to die. So some people just think it's easier to kill a player they spot, rather than have to deal with muppets that haven't got two brain cells to rub together. I am not really one of them, but because of that, I am half blind from an injury and struggling to find anything to heal myself. 5 hours playing with blurry vision is a pain in the ass.

I hate to be a Debbie downer, but the map could be full of zombies and KOS would still happen. In fact a zombie could be chewing on some guys ass and he would turn and fire at the nearest player, instead of the zombie that is eating him. Battlestar Galactica springs to mind. "All of this happened before, and it will happen again!"

No, but I do in a game. Well, not exactly. I was kind of explaining what I had done, in the hopes someone might share they're knowledge. I realize, I need to find blood bags and a IV to heal myself fully. However if I can't see, because my character is half blind and I need to walk 20Km in the hope I get to a hospital, that hasn't been raided. I was hoping eating and drinking my ease the blurriness of the shock my character is going through. But instead I get you, reminding me about a real life fact, about an in-game problem, clap clap well done thanks for that.

Really, because some guy just tried KOSing me with a mosin. I was not sure where he was, so I picked a spot, where he could only approach me from one direction and waited him out. Within 2 mins he came looking. He managed to get one shot off before my M4 burst cut him down. Annoyingly, his one shot, hit and now my character won't stop moaning and my screen is all blurry, I tried food, drink, resting and even eating the vitamins that I took off his dead body.

Just curious, but have you thought about hitting "space bar" while you have the weapon in your hands. I know it is for readying items in you hand, but that might do it.

Ok, your heart pumps and your lungs oxygenates your blood, it does not replenish lost blood. Blood plasma is refilled in about 24-48 hours (depending on loss), from red blood cells and it uses food and water to do this, 90% water and 10% food. Red and white blood cells are replaced by bone marrow and this process takes 4-5 weeks. So it is realistic that food and water in the game replenishes your blood.

Yes, but arma 2 came out when most users were still on win xp. @Mazuro IMO I would try it out, I mean if you buy the game now and it doesn't work, at least you would have saved yourself a little extra, because the game is probably going to get more expensive as time goes on, just like Arma 3 did. So, by the time you upgrade to wins 7 or 8, the game will be more stable as well.

Yeah, my concern and why I asked about, why not upgrade your windows, was if your system was good enough to run the game. Why don't you post your machine spec's

I am not sure, but can I ask, why don't you upgrade your windows?

I believe they don't want to put to much strain on the server and game engine at the moment, so they will be adding thing more and more over time. Give it a few weeks and I am sure there will be more Zombies than you know what to do with.
