You can do everything that's possible with illegitimate scripts by adding them into a mission file/making your own scripts via mission editing. Scripts are illegal in ArmA 2 because you use a BE bypass to get pass BattleEye protections. Maybe you should of, oh I don't know, turned OFF BattleEye..? I don't think BE should, in the nicest way, curate morons. Lets read next time before responding, agreed?

There's a lot of music that has no copyrights on it/copyright that lets anyone use it. I'm sure there are plenty of DayZ fans who write good music, too. This is 2012 and Chernaraus is fairly decent in the technology field. If having a radio ruins your immersion then I feel bad for you.

I've rarely met a hacker on ArmA. I've met scripters, who bought scripts with mommy's credit card, but no hackers. Whether you use scripts for good or bad, you are still using illegitimate ways to make the game more enjoyable for yourself. You can try and rationalize it as making the game better for others, but in reality you're just a bum who can't play the game properly because of *insert long, whine-filled statement here as to why you script*. BE doesn't state that as long as you use your scripts for good, you're okay to exploit the game. I bet anyone who kills OP or his friend are "hackers" to them and they just turn on the scripts and kill the guy. I know for a fact that if you're immature enough to buy scripts, you can't handle the power you have to use it for only "good" reasons. It's like giving a child a flamethrower and telling him only to use it when necessary. When the hell will you need a flamethrower you ask? Exactly. People who whine saying they use their scripts for videos are, in my eyes, borderline mentally challenged. You can go into editor and make all these scripts LEGAL in the eyes of BE by adding them into a mission file and loading up said missions. Scripts aren't some super leet hax, I can make 90% of them in 10 minutes, they're just regular ArmA 2 scripts being injected into servers. All that's even close to needing something larger than a 12 year olds mind is the BE bypass. I can replace your head with a cow if I'd like to, all using ArmA 2's mission editor and not breaking any rules. Don't whine and try and rationalize your scripting, any scripter is an immature prick in my eyes.

DayZ has always been about survival and working hard to achieve your goals. If you can't survive long enough to meet up with a friend, I'm sorry, you're just bad at the game. Running for 30 minutes is a major part of DayZ. You're supposed to hate those long hikes to places, because in real life it takes a long time and is sometimes boring, but also that in this scenario, as a simulation, you would hate running that distance. You consume a lot of food and water to get from Cherno to NWAF and it's a pain in the ass. If you take away these two key aspects, you end up with CareBearZ. I've never and I mean never had problems meeting up with people. Maybe in this game I just have good instincts, I know the paths to take, what to look out for, and how much supplies I need. Supporting people who are just bad at surviving because they do the same thing over and over again is a bad game design. I also agree with what Fraggle said, this isn't a casual gamers game where you pop in and survive for 7 days. My first time playing I got stuck on a roof by a load of zombies at night, I had my last flare burning and one hand grenade. I threw the flare down the ladder, all the zombies were around it. Lucky me, I had a hand grenade. I threw it, but being new to ArmA I didn't back up. Instantly killed me. The above story represents how a new survivor in the world of DayZ would die pretty quickly, but as you play the game you become that guy who knows what the hell he is doing. You laugh at the guys being chased by 30 zombies through Cherno because you were once that guy.

Even if it is an admin ban, don't always assume this guy's story is true. Until an admin from this server shows up(if he ever does), then we can't really assume anything without proof.

Those logs show a player Goose, presumably you, spawning in a hack box. It would take a lot of work to put your GUID, IP, and name into every single one of those logs, especially time stamps. Edit: IP was censored out. I have to sympathize with the owner of this server for people calling him and his admins abusive, I know how it feels.
