I know money as currency is brought up almost every day but money in this situation would actually be useful coins could be used to distract and paper money is even better it can be used as TP makes excellent fire lighters and in large enough quantity's and be used as fuel (good if they are going to make it harder to light fires in rain) can be scrunched up and used to re-size shoes eg a size 10 wearing size 12 can be stuffed down a shirt as insulation (need alot of it) the list goes on newspaper has the same uses

they already have they follow you from ages and they move towards you even if they have not seen you wait for the stand alone they will be LOTS of zombies at least 3000 per map

read up on to SA most of this is being put in zeds attacking animal is not and we will find out why not in the SA background story (found in game) survivers WILL NOT turn in to zombies, zombies in this game ARE NOT DEAD they are infected living people AND the players are immune these points have been said MANY times

hi I made the change some years ago just to play Rome total war and I am upgrading mainly for dayz (it needed ti but dayz gave me the push) you want some tips so hear goes 1. DO NOT cheep out on a mouse, a poor mouse will affect gaming in comfort, lifespan and response times I tried a lot of mice when i started (mainly because they broke) and have settled on an MSI G series for £25 ( I have a low budget) and i love it, but the £20 mice i tried broke quickly and where nowhere near as good £5 more can make all the difference so try to get a gaming mouse 2. get on steam ASAP http://store.steampowered.com/ its free (you install in the top right of the web page) to quote PC Gamer magazine "steam IS pc gaming" lots of games, often well cheep with daily, weekend, midweek and holiday sales plus you should join there forums they helped me SOOOO much when i started out 3. get Minecraft 4. one i have come across with several new pc gamers. NEVER buy a steam based game on disk second hand inc empire/shogun 2 total war, counter strike, half life, killing floor (among others) once a game is tied to a steam account it CAN NOT be used by anyone else lots of new pc gamers get ripped off like this 5. get a mic is make gaming much more fun and easyer and is a MUST HAVE for Dayz add me to you freinds list on hear and then i can add you on steam when you get you're pc (i beleave you can join steam on you're xbox) i will be happy to help you out anytime

i always shoot on sight even had then say hi before and still shot them I even shoot people near bandits

loving it, love the shadows, the vaulting the zombie pathfinding love the zombies this game is going to be nuts and rocket if you want to make every vid with that type of editing its fine by me all I want is the info I don't care about the production values The teams times would be better spent making the game than making a nice looking vid

it would be nice to see if they have any value on any servers

why cant people just wait until the stand alone comes out in the SA there will be more zombies and there path finding will be fixed it may be completely unnecessary to up zombie damage and the way food spawns will completely change food may become really rare not because it is less likely to spawn but because it will spawn at the start of the server and may not spawn as often my point is that EVERYTHING is going to change and there are maybe 50 people in the world who know how these changes affect the game in real terms the idea of making zombies hit harder could be REALLY bad think about it you get the new game and on the first play you walk in to electro and there are 70 zombies not the 20-25 there is now 70 and when you run for the tree line there are more there as well running in to a house wont work as they can run too and they stay on you not through some bad, long visual range but because there parthfinding works and they dont get stuck behind every tree bush rock and wall will you then be thinking i wish they hit harder ??? frankly rocket knows what he is doing and i trust him loads more than the average dev if he decides to keep zombie damage as it then i very much doubt it will be a mistake

as said it has been confirmed and zombies will respawn "as need be"

I have completely stopped playing At first i stopped because the patch broke my game to the point that it could not be played (errors every time i tried to join a sever) this has been fixed now but i am still not playing because i am waiting for the SA I believe i will enjoy the SA morre if i have not played the mode for 2/3 mouths beforehand I must have put in 200 hours to the mod

I like the suicide option in dayz but it should be with pistols or a knife having a rope to hang you're self with at the start so you can keep respawning is bad respawning because you are not where you want to be is against the feel of the game and would result in there being LOADS of dead body's near some areas, causing sever load and therefore lag

they are not zombies or dead they are living infected humans

personally I would like to see random spawn items so a bandage for everyone painkillers or a can food or drink A flashlight or map or compass or hunting knife or matches or a gun ether a makarov or revolver with 3 mags but if you get a gun you get NOTHING else not even a bandage this would mean that you never know how you are going to start this would break up the routine of spawning meaning you may have to run on a hospital first or you nee a flashlight/flairs at night

what you have to remember is this is alpha REALLY early alpha at that in the SA everything you mentioned will change and continue to change every week at the moment you are playing the bare bones so there is not a lot to do

you are right the fact is most of what we are talking about will probably be completely obsolete in the SA by the sounds of what i am hearing from the team we will probably not even going to have a tac vest when we start and maybe no back pack just the pockets in you're jeans 2/4 pockets with space for 2 small items in each

to be fair I did not think of that I figured that there would be newb on newb eg i have a gun and nothing else but i need medi supply's so i'll shoot you but it would course Bambie hunting to have a purpose rather than greefing I would still like to see something to stop the 1 get an axe 2 get some food and drink 3 get a gun 4 get medi supply's 5 get a military gun routine that i have got in to, I would love to have to mix it up sometimes
