In my D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead I see a folder with "@DayZ_Namalsk" Thats the one supposed to deleted right just to make it re confirm...

Hello everyone few weeks back i installed Namalsk i did played it few times the only reason i went for that map was due to its weather effects and how it adds a new challange to the survival but the alien zombie and nuke stuff is something what i dont prefer i dont say its not good but its not my style so i was thinking of removing Namalsk but without damaging the base Arma 2 OA or Any other settings or stuff so is there any way to do it or im stuck with the map coz i dont want to harm the game files in any way as it took lots and lots of days to download it from steam :( I did used DayZ Commander to download the game so i also want to know what will happen to it if somehow there is a way to remove / delete the map ?? Any kind of tips help / suggestion will be good Just hope my regular DayZ will work and i dont have to re download the whole game....

Oh thanks a lot man helped a lot tried to download Namalsk but saw it was 699Mb something so thought will do later on.. Hope there would have been some way to pause it..

Ok so i have been playing DayZ for past 2 days and enjoying a lot.. I had a question in my mind after an incident happen to me yesterday i was in a server trying to collect resources also helping people in side chat in gathering ammo food map and other supplies.. Met with 1 guy we decided to team and go to chearno and help his friend but on our way we met 1 more guy he too teamed up then later he offered me a gun (expecting a makarov or other hand gun) but he dropped an AS50 i was completely unaware what to do not knowing weather it was hacked or legit so i just picked up and went to cherno where i gave it back to the guy telling i cant use this gun properly (didnt even shoot single shot with it cause i was suspicious) I know people are helpful and give good guns to help but obvious im new and dont know about it and dont want to get banned, I hope i did the right the thing... Here are my few question : *How to avoid weapons and know if they are hacked or not.. if by accident i pick up or get offer any gun from a player which is hacked will i be banned ? *What will happen if i join in different maps like Namalsk.. Will i loose all my weps on Chernarus map ? (Playing on official servers) *Can i install Ace / Acer and some sound mod i forgot name of it.. And play on Arma 2 servers supporting them and then somehow change back to default sound and mod and get back to DayZ life ? *Any tips / vids on getting good frame rate will help too. Any kind of help views and suggestion will help like a Morphine shot after crawling 1000m so Thanks a lot in advance :D \

I feel the problem is people having less aware of this kind of scam attempts i hope this msg spreads across and more people get to know on what to do in such situation.. But to be honest this is really worst thing.. I just hope no one gives him the key :(

Thanks a lot for the help information... Actually i was just curious about the key and how the whole steam system works... As i have always purchased hard CD copies of game and in whole India i was not able to find hard copy of Arma 2 but luckily the gift was really blessing for me :D I will be dropping in again if i have more question or need help.. I got the game as a Christmas gift on Steam and im downloading it right now (Still many hours left to go) I just want to know is there anything i should keep in mind or certain do and dont after the game complete its installation.. As per few youtube vids its recommended to play the single player game Arma 2 and OA and then Download install DayZ Commander and update everything from it.. I also noticed options in the youtube vids. Steam options should i check them both or leave them blank ???? Also Note this is the first time im ever downloading any game from Steam how will i get the Key for it ? also what will happen if i ever decide to format my PC and make a new clean instillation of the game (i hope there is no limit on it or conditions on it :P )
