If I use Dayz commander, does it automatically install and use the newest version of ArmA 2 beta patch? So if i launch DayZ it will use the beta patch? What if i wanna install a newer patch manually, does it use it in DayZ or do I have to move files around? (Replace Arma2OA.exe with the beta patch) Or does DZ-C do it automatically? When you first spawn, where do you go first? What you're looking for? Where are your waypoints? This thread is all about that. Personally I prefer spawning nearby Chernogorsk or Elektro, Kamenka is OK too, but if I spawn in Kamenka I usually run to Zelenogorsk... First I just go for a backpack or gun, and even if I have bad gear I try to engage players. In the start of the game, I tried, really _TRIED_ to be friendly to people, but I got desperate because after bloodbagging/giving morphine, all I got was shot in the face. So now I shoot everyone, except my group. Todays story: I spawned in Krutoy Cap, and I find Lee Enfield and a ghillie from a dead player. I go do a quick run for ATV on top of Pik Kozlovka (is that the name of the mountain?) and when I'm coming down on the west side I see someone with AKM running to the lighthouse, I shoot a crazy shot from the woods to the back of him and he goes down. I go loot him and find my basic survival gear, such as M9 SD, AKM, binos, hatchet & all that water bottles and stuff. Then I head to North, and I find a bike spawn. Just when I jump on the bike, I see a heli crash. I quickly go there with my bike and find an FN FAL, and I'm like giggling from joy. Then I look at the loot map of dayzdb.com, and I see there's another bike spawn nearby. I go check it and voilá, another bike spawn. I take the bikes to woods, have a nice fireplace set up there and enjoy my meat. Propably the most enjoyable day of Dayz I've ever had.

Hello, I want to record Dayz and take screenshots of it. I use DXTory for recording it. My aspect ratio is 16:10 with native resolution of 1680x1050. I play Dayz with interface resolution on 1280x960 and 3D resolution on 1280x960. Though, when i take pictures or recording they seem like they're in completely different aspect ratio. Also I don't want to scale the image to the correct dimension, because that will make the image look bad. Playing with 1280x720 is not an option since i will have black borders on my bottom and top of my screen.

Apparently you should contact BattlEye for this. The CD Key you're using has been propably bruteforced. That means they have tried all of the possible combinations to find working CD Keys. If you have proof that you have just bought the game, send it to BattlEye in addition with your CD Key. Here's the link for BattlEye support: http://www.battleye.com/support.html

Hello, If i have any weapon, for ex. revolver or any stanag weapon, (SD or non SD) the shots i make myself are really low volume. I have everything except music set to MAX. Samples are set to 128. Also, car's sounds are really quiet. Other people's gun sounds are really loud, for example if a friend shoots next to me by ears are about to explode. My headset is Logitech G35. Will setting off the surround help me at all?! Any help with this?

My best experience in DayZ happened in Namalsk. I was in Sebjan Dam with a few friends, on C4K3's server. I saw three bandits in the tower next to the fuel pump, I had and SVD Camo and Ghillie and I was in the north. I took the range with SVD's scope and it gave me something like 500m. Then when they lined up, so i could easily shoot them i fired three quick bullets and i got ALL OF THEM. It felt so good to look at the kill list and people in the side chat were like "WTF Hacker!" Then my friends started laughing really loud in Teamspeak :D
