Please, DONT add a bandit-indicator in this patch

I see Bandit skins or identification as a correction to unrealistic limitations which are unavoidable by the very nature of online gaming. -A player base which is bigger than the surviving population of chernarussia should be (making it impossible to have a realistic reputation system). -Ruthless attacking without fear of consequences (you gonna spawn again anyway). -A chance to play outside of clans and out of game communities (which is unrealistic because the Z-plague or "infection" would not conveniently spare all your buddys),bringing in some of the Z-movie authenticity we all know (no FFA everyone shoots everyone). -A crude substitute for better recognition ,facial identification ,gestures ,height ,bodytype and so on. While I agree that its kind of unrealistic a lot of games and mods have the problem that online gamers do not behave realistic. For example the exelent Project Reality goes out of its way to promote realistic behaviour with unrealistic limitations and overall the mod benifits greatly from that, I think bandit skins are a good solution lets face it they dont prevent bandits from playing like the want but on the other hand the lack of identification now prevents alot of survivors to play like they want to. Is it perfect? No but I find skillfull scams and survivor spies for the bandit gang in the woods alot more interesting than instant shootouts (not that we wouldnt have them still but maybe a litle less than now). -

Like it was pointed out before when bandit skins where in place there never was a lack of backstabbing survivors,also pvp isnt always shooting from a safe spot and kill. There is so much more you can do like pickpocketing out of the backpack or shoot you buddy in the legs while hunted by the Z-mob(just watched walking dead s2 :D). IT will be more inteteresting if stuff like this happens and it wont be carebear heaven for sure. -

That would pretty much make the bandit skins non existant since every bandit could just bandage his buddy 10 times. I think the original was pretty good think it was 500 humanity for a transfusion one kill did not make you a bandit and slow humanity regeneration while moving(making it possible to turn you back into a survivor in less than a day). Hope it possible to ad a mechanic to prevent gains from multiple transfusions to the same charakter. -

Bandits should get eyepatches yarrrrrr ! That said I hope Rockets does not soften humanity up to much. For me bandit skins where quite a good indicator had more survivors held than i had survivors killing me though there where those too(most of them pissed cause i put their bandit buddies down). ps. anyone has a quote or record or something? -
With bandit skins in place I used to avoid killing survivors to the point of self sacrifice (not shooting back). Nowadays I´m alot more ruthless (after two bad experiences) and shoot first when theres no way to avoid the player. Also wth. means "NWAF" ?

I for one miss bandit skins and argued strongly against the removal. I still cant think of a better solution to the inevitable invasion of griefers into pvp games (you simply cant change this communities which pwn carebears since UO times). that said ,since I found out about private hubs I ask myself if it would be possible to run one with bandit skin. I´ll appreciate if someone can answer this question. -
Brilliant idea i have just one addition : -Zombiefication virus (or whatever) which has a chance to infect the player everytime he is wounded by zombies can be fought with a special vaccine or antibiotica found in villages and hospitals and should take a rather long time but turns the victim into a raging zombie in the end. Cant wait to have an infected in my group and no medication having to decide to kill him or go into town to get medication.

Coming from eve online aswell i think character specialization will mostly benifit clan players and players who know each other from outside the game. I believe random groups ,who met in game ,would not benifit from this system because they would be dominated by organized teamplayers in teamspeak just like in eve online. And i for one like the atmosphere of meeting some stranger ingame and cooperate. But solo players will have an even harder time against clans and grouping up with randoms without bandit skins will be even more suicidal than now. I fear this system might turn of random players and make this mod a clan only game. edit:I liked the idea where a character is spawned with a certain specialization randomly that was in one of the suggestion threads would also be more authentic than becoming a doctor in the 12 houres you might play. that said awesome you have job with the mod rocket.

just gonna say remove murder score from leaderboards. i really think that would lower the amount pointless killings for sport.

no , keep it and make sure bandits cant regain survivor status to fast. I agree the system is flawed but something needs to be in place to make pks distinguishable. I would propose to even expand on it and make wounding already cost humanity but there are more important things to be done for sure. If work needs to be done do it but some system like this is needed in this game otherwise it will be a trollfest. That said im by no means opposed to pvp
