I was able to pull up the ESC menu while the hourglass was up and i was crawling around at the same time, None of the buttons would do anything despite being clickable though. Crawled for a good 20 seconds at least. The dance script was the one i got hit with previously. Punk was teleporting all over the map killing people with some kind of god mode on too. Shot him several times in the head with an 1866 and he didn't even flinch. The scripters are well past extremely irritating already. >:(

This is the second time i've seen this in the last week. This time it was on US2373 about 15 minutes ago. Name unknown, no name tags. Guy teleports to where i am then shoots the hell out of me, i pass out and he somehow moves my guy making him crawl to a different spot where he then comes over and heals me and leaves to go blow up a bus that wasn't even there a few minutes before nearby. I lost all control of the game interface while he was doing this to me. Could'nt respawn, abort or anything in the ESC menu. Thought that was'nt supposed to be possible? i swear i'm gonna be pissed if i get banned because of this somehow shows up as me scripting because of what he was doing to me...

You would still have to buy Operation Arrowhead so you might as well just get Combined Operations so you know it will work and not worry about saving a whopping 2 or 3 dollars. I asked the same question earlier this week, i got it, i do NOT regret it. :D It's worth it.

Quite possibly the worst business model for a video game ever conceived. Nobody would buy it with perma death that hardcore. Nah, thanks. Not interested in facebook style games. :P

Then there's the likely flip side of the thing. Person with good and helpful intentions logs on to the server to appeal on behalf of the banned person in question and the server admin says something to the effect of "Oh, so you're friends with that douchebag?" <click> ban. "Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya." Quoted for truth and the likely end result of trying. Getting into the middle man spot of a he said she said argument with no proof of who is actually right or wrong almost never ends well for you and both people end up hating your guts as a reward for your effort. How far do you go for a stranger that may or may not have brought someones justifiable wrath down on themself? I would do it for someone i was familliar with (specifically their ethics and integrity) or anyone i actually know but potentially getting myself banned by association with a person/situation i know absolutely nothing about....aint happening.

Such hostility... :o You need a nice warm tender hug and a good smack on the ass or something to make you feel better? Not just no, but hell no. That thing for which you reference but shall not be spoken aloud from my lips is a pay to win money pit scheme and as such is DOA instantly as far as i'm concerned. Aint never gonna happen, especially after the current drama surrounding it and the reputation/history i've read recently about the person making it.

Not really. I'm tired of dumbed down interfaces due to the consoles demanding it be made more simplistic to appease their core customers simplistic tastes. Most of those peoples heads would pop like a melon hit with a .50 if they actually had to learn a complicated hotkey layout for some game as complex as X2 or X3. The console companies are single handedly responsible for the dumbing down of the gaming industry in general. Consoles for the most part lost me forever with Parappa the Rapper and other such "featured" drivel back in the day. Anything worth a damn on console now will be on PC as well. Most of the stuff that actually is console only that i've noticed no self respecting PC gamer would actually want to play to begin with in most cases.

Which is an irrelevant issue for me just for the record. Not even worried about that part since i gave up the notion of that crap back in the days of Diablo 1 after it completely ruined the game for me. Took a lasting lesson from it. Not stupid enough to fall for the optimizer trojan scam either(i can't believe people actually still fall for that. That's 20+ years old).

Been twisting myself around for a couple days pondering this decision, so... Somebody please reassure me i didn't just do a stupid thing. Got the requisite copy of CO off steam and just waiting for it to finish downloading as i type. My fear is all these stories i keep seeing with people saying they're perma banned out of the blue for no reason or because they looted something in game or someone was doing etc etc and blah blah blah. Seen the tears a thousand times already (been reading the graveyard, lost several IQ points in the process, very enlightening). But i just have no way of knowing if it's just a bunch of stupid teenagers that are only upset because they got caught and for (probably) the first time in their life they can't BS their way ot of it or if the hack detection is actually that draconian. My biggest concern is for any other games i might own, particularly ones that are required to be tied to steam, getting locked down and disabled.That would very much cause me to not be a happy camper. Yeah i know, why didn't i just wait for SA if i'm so worried about it?.... Impatience. That and there's no knowing how long that'll be and nobody is going to tell me even if i ask nicely, so screw it. <click> buy. So, please honestly tell me i didn't make a mistake that's gonna get worse than a scorching case of toe cheese...Purty please... I actually have zero interest in Arma. Left it sitting on the shelf in the store untouched god knows how many times. I look at it the same way i look at Call of Duty and it's kin. If at any point i suddenly feel the need to play with military style weapons, i'll just go open my closet door and have at it. Real guns tend to be more fun anyways. :rolleyes: This mod is a different story however. I've been looking for quite a long time for a good TEOTWAWKI sandbox survival MMO. I'm impressed with what i've seen so far. Light years above anything else out there. This mod really is the only thing on the planet that could've caused me to buy that game. BTW, if you're one of the ZOMG WTF I'M AN ANGEL AND NEVER DID ANYTHING WRONG EVER IN MY WHOLE LIFE AND IT WAS AN INTERNET GREMLINS FAULT BLAH BLAH BLAH. I'm not interested in hearing from you because i can't tell if any of you have ever been honest even once and i'm not starting this thread to give you a place to p**s and whine.
