I upgraded my cooling system, video card, motherboard and processor over the last 4 months all in hopes of being able to play Dayz competitively on pvp servers. This game/mod is no more processor intensive than a rated bg in warcraft ( in which I play on ultra settings with 60 fps ). I log into Dayz and am lucky to see 19 fps while walking in the woods. From what I understand the the standalone suffers the same issues. I have been a Dayz fan for years, but can't say I would recommend it to any newcoming player that doesn't have more money than sense when it comes to their gaming pc.

I applied months ago but my pc died shortly after. I am returning to Dayz now and brought an old friend with me. We are both US eastern timezone. We are bouncing from server to server looking for the right fit. I'd like to give your group a try and think my friend will like it too. I don't have TS3 on this pc yet, but will be grabbing it in a few minutes. I tried to join your Ts3 vut got this: <15:19:16> The TSDNS server 'enjinvoice.com' does not know '1stforcegaming.enjinvoice.com' If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.

I have the exact same error now. I wish I knew what steps 5-9 were so I could play again.

Our group of 6 tried out this server yesterday, over the course of 6-9 hours there were 3 random restarts without warning that caused 3 deaths and took out our chopper. This server has potential, let's hope it's stability is addressed soon.

Thank you folks, I was having the same issue. Cancelling the "refresh all servers" on initial login has fixed the issue. I am using broadband, my router does restart when my internet isn't working and I have no clue if my firmware is up to date, but I'll look into it soon.

I would love it if this happened, as it currently sits I only see this when I join a new server. When I die, I simply respawn on the coastline.

I have to disagree on both points. A sprawling forest should be full of critters. And if a disease is deadly enough to wipe out the human race, you can bet animals won't fair well with it. Our dna is too close to that of other mammals.

I have only been playing Dayz for a little while, but have fallen in love. I enjoy this mod a great deal and am now hunting for a group(s) of active players. I applied + joined a clan to find only 2 people in it actually play Dayz and am hoping for some help. I am also hoping to avoid servers/groups that insist I pay the server admins for extra gear/abilities and am not interested in cheating. Thank you all in advance and hope to play with you soon.

I have noticed this too, I wish I knew how to fix it as I have had to change servers to avoid it.

I'd love to see the monitor as it was removed before I started playing Dayz. I have no idea how much blood I have remaining at any time and my hero/bandit ratio is a complete mystery.

We do respawn each time we die + some way to affect where we do (instead of hitting the Respawn button 11 times) would be nice. I love the idea of a quiver.

Could you tell us about vanilla rule set? I am interested, but I have no clue what it means.

OWNED Thank you SKuDD3r for posting a well written suggestion. Sadly, most won't have the ability to comprehend constructive criticism and will simply cling to their "celebrity" identities. I wish more posts included this level of thought. Alpha release DOES mean feature complete. Keep the ideas coming!

I play with a controller for the improved level of efficiency I have while in first person point of view. Faster and more accurate shots = more loot for me.

Are there people that don't know the "M&Kb is better than a controller" is just a troll? The controller offers smooth/realistic turning + movement whereas the M&Kb is glitchy at best. Not convinced? Attempt to maneuver a vehicle at top speed with a controller. Now try to perform with the same level of control with a mouse.
