Yea, so I remember there was a old thread for urban legends in, mostly, the DayZ mod, really loved that one, but it seems kinda dead now, so I thought let's try with a new one. Any spooky or weird things happened to you in DayZ? I've got 1, but not really so great. Me and a buddy was looting the lonely barrack to the north on the NW airfield on a night server. Checking the third room when suddenly we heard someone crying, I told my friend to cut that shit off, but he then told me to do the same. The sound was really close, like the person should've been in the barrack with us, but he wasn't, so we just ran like hell to the prison building where our truck was. We chilled out and got our shit together for 20-30 seconds then we drove over to check the bushes around the walls, but we didn't find anyone.. So we just left the airfield for good. So look out, it seems like the NW airfield is haunted. (Probably a player, but it was spooky as hell, nice experince.) So, do you guys have any supernatural or spooky stories? Extra beans for Green Mountain stories.

I'm gonna guess: Bait. When they add predator animals the guts are probably gonna attract them unless your bury them.

Went on a nightrun towards Green Mountain today. Someone have already been there for sure, but it gave me the chance for some nice pics.

Nah, don't think so, I guess the guy fucking with us was really well hidden. When we first heard the crying we ran like hell to our V3S, 20-30 seconds later we wen't back to the barrack to check the bushes around us, no guy, no crying. He probably ran away. Dunno, but I loved every seond of it.

Weird, same thing happened for me and a friend, first we thought it was a player, but same, it was to close and we couldn't see anyone.. I'm still betting on it was a player fucking with us.

Went on a great run today with a buddy and later alone, got some great pictures. Even though I hate Green Mountain since it's haunted and because of the urban legends, it can still be beautiful. And so my day ended with a great surprise.

So I'm just running trough the woods, and suddenly it goes black and I'm dead. No sound of gun, nor pain from my man, just instantly killed.. When I played earlier today with my friend I couldn't hear him shoot and he couldn't hear me even though we were right next to eachother. So is there some instant kill bug or no gun sound bug?

Havn't played for a while, but I've got some new pictures. I'm really loving the truck so far!

Aah, thanks, havn't played for a month or so now. I'm pretty sure it was a bug then, no animation at all, I'm running, screen went black for 5 seconds, (thought the game crashed) and then "You're dead." So I think it was a bug then.

I've pitched my tent somewhere on the map on "DayZ UK 2-18" and I thought that if someone could find this place he/she is welcome to join my camp, take your tent with you if you have one, if not just stay for some time, got plenty of food and water. Oh lawdy. I found a tent, so me and my buddy started to run to the location we wanted it on. After hardly ten minutes he lost his internet... So I had to do the adventure myself.. Saw a hog on my way, it means good luck! Then I came to my destination. (Met 1 guy on the way, pretty nice, gave him some food and water and was then omw, didn't take a pic of him :( ) Showing it off here! Not a very familiar place, but really breath taking! If anyone figure out my location feel free to visit me, you could take your own tent with you and we could start a kind of camp. And for the love of god, take matches with you so we actually can turn on that campfire and tell spooky stories!

You Survive better without People

My opinion: That you did there, is not playing like a bandit. That's just CoD style. Bandit in my opinion: Tracks people down/find people. Stop them, take them as "hostage", steal their shit and then leave them with nothing, bonus if you handcuffed them. Being a bandit is camping at a certain spot waiting for people to run by and then rob them without killing them. Ofc you can play as the psycho bandit and torture them, but don't KoS, that's not being a bandit.

Get used to lose your gear. I'm fully geared with everything ATM, but I still go out to the beach, find newspawns and help them to get geared and then send them out in the world. I've been shot at a million times but my character is still alive for some weird reason. + Beside helping newspawns the best part of the game is to find all the gear you need.

If you do have 2 graphic cards, try to go into "Device Manager" and activate your standard/your best graphic card and then try to open dayz again. Or else just try to open DayZ as administrator.
